This was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at! At every turn, something else came up wrong. We had booked early, and were staying for 5 nights on a work trip. We show up on night #1, exhausted from a long, hard day of construction work. Nobody at the front desk... Someone comes down after we use the desk phone to call, and he gives us the room keys with an attitude. We get to the room and unload our things, just desperate for a hot shower and rest. There are no towels, and just half a roll of toilet paper. Back to the front desk to get these things that should already be available. I had to convince housekeeping that we need more than one roll of TP for a week's stay. The bathroom is just a shower and toilet cramped into a tiny space with water damage and mildew. The sink is in the main room. We finally each get to take showers, and both individually notice that when the shower fan is on, the heat lamp also turns on, and it makes that tiny, claustrophobic bathroom so unbearably hot and moist that you can't dry off after your shower without entering the main room. When you're traveling with your dad, that's not ideal at all. No privacy whatsoever. We were traveling and living out of a cooler, and were looking forward to putting our food away in the fridge. It's unplugged. I plug it in, but it doesn't work. I ask the front desk for a different fridge, but they cannot accommodate until the next day. We chose this hotel as it had a free hot breakfast included in the price. We go to the breakfast room in the morning, and are disappointed again. The hot options are nasty, watery, powdered eggs and.... gravy? And some cold biscuits. The gravy was disgusting. We aren't picky eaters, but this made us both nauseous. We left to work another long, hard day. Upon return, we found our key cards didn't work. Had to get the front desk to reprogram them. Tried out the pool room, which looks great in the pictures. The hot tub was so full that it spilled out everywhere if you get in... and all the corners were filthy! Covered in scum, it definitely hadn't seen a scrub in quite a while. The pool was less dirty, but not by much. If my body wasn't so sore, I wouldn't have chanced it. Also, no towels at all in the pool room. The gym that is advertised... is actually being used by the owners as a storage room. Breakfast was the same gross options for three days. On day four... no breakfast was offered at all. Day 5 they finally put out something different, sausage links and egg patties, which were slightly better. It appears the staff/owners live there at the hotel. The female employee does the housekeeping in her pajama pants. Staying at this hotel made a difficult and exhausting work trip twice as miserable. No wonder their parking lot was empty. Would highly recommend staying...
Read moreHorrible experience...a waste of $170. If you have children...do not go to this hotel. I have stayed in a few other hotels with my children and I've never experienced people who were so rude.
For starters, my son has Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, and ADHD I made this clear to the man checking us in.
The morning after check in the pool was supposed to be open at 9 am. The pool is located by the front desk. No one was at the front desk. At about 9:10am I finally picked up the phone for assistance. A woman in her pajamas came down with three towels and an attitude of inconvenience and let us in. My son was really excited and had a water gun and sprayed a few of the windows in the pool area.
Then my kiddos needed to use the rest room. The restroom for the pool area was locked (and next to it the exercise room they claim to have is used as a storage btw!) So we dried off with our generous 3 towels and ran down to our room. One of our keys wouldn't work. So we finished our business and came back out to let the lady know about the key and ask for more towels. She wasn't at the front desk and I had to call again. She came back and started lecturing me about drops of water on the floor in the lobby. That it was bad for her. And how we should stay in the pool area until we have dried off. That we shouldn't need more towels. She was incredibly rude and still in pajamas.
Then her co-worker (the man who checked us in) came out of their suite (they live in the hotel) and into the pool room and started threatening to kick us out of the pool because of a few drops of water on the windows. After I explained to him that I took the water guns away and I apologized for my sons behavior, he began lecturing my son. When I tried to say something he said NO...let me talk to him. I guess my discipline wasn't good enough.
These people do not belong managing a hotel. They were unprofessional.
And the continental breakfast was a joke. As a matter of fact, except for the juice and coffee, it was pretty gross. And not a single piece of fruit. Some muffins, make your own toast, waffles, and pre-made microwavable eggs.
And according to the man that checked us in, they won't rent to anyone within 50 miles of the hotel because they don't want drug addicts there. I was in Menomonie visiting family and friends. I found that incredibly offensive because it felt like the man was saying everyone in the Menomonie area wants to come to his hotel to do drugs.
This place is for truck drivers, people on the road that need a bed. If you want to use the pool, hot tub, exercise room, restroom, need more towels, get water on the floor or have special needs kids...you're an inconvenience.
Go to Americinn, Best Western, Super 8...anywhere but Quality...
Read moreI called ahead to see if they had open swim. We were told yes and asked when we were coming- I responded with we will come right now. When we arrived the manager said she would not take payment until I went in to feel the water temperature so that I would not complain. She asked if we were the ones that were there yesterday?? I told her no, and she looked skeptical but opened the door anyways. I felt the water and it was very warm which was great! It was $30 for my family of six which is a great price. My Mother, children, and I went in and my husband stayed back to pay. She asked him if we had towels and he told her we did not. She told him she guessed she would have to bring some in. She brought towels in and a few more each time additional people arrived- (no one brought their own.) After we were done swimming I grabbed 6 towels (1 for everyone) and she immediately came in and accused us of taking too many towels and said that those towels were for the people that came in after us and wanted to know where we put our towels?? I told her we hadnât taken any other towels and she disagreed and said she knew we had. This turned into a good 4 minute discussion and she told us to leave. We got dressed and on the way out we asked for a corporate number and she again said she was the manager and owned the property and could do what she wanted???!!! The pool and hot tub temps were great, but there was actual dirt on the bottom of the pool, no shower (just FYI not a complaint), toilet seat lid was broken, and the mold in the bathroom was overwhelming, but worst of all was the managers attitude accusations of us stealing her tattered towels. We have never been there before and we definitely...
