Stayed overnight at the Chalet suite with my boyfriend. The staff was nice and professional. The suite was beautifully remodelled, very clean, and much nicer than the Majestic suite at the Downers Grove location which still looks like it's straight out of the 80's. The slide into the pool was crazy fast and quite a surprise. The waterfall was nice and so was the steam room/super large double shower. The whirlpool was a good size and we're both very tall. It was kind of slippery, though. The bed was large and felt like a fairly firm foam mattress. It was comfortable for both of us. The bathroom and separate double sink was convenient. There was also a Kuerig, microwave, sink, and fridge. There were two very large screen TV's (65 inch) - one in the bedroom and one in the pool room. The pool was absolutely fantastic and definitely our favorite feature! We live in Illinois, but it was definitely worth driving two hours to this location. We didn't want to leave! I actually tried to call the front desk in the morning to extend our stay and check out at 3pm instead of 11am for the $110 deal (normally $219) that they had posted in the room, but they were fully booked and couldn't accommodate that for us. This was the only disappointing part of our stay. We will definitely be back and next time we will reserve the late check out at the time of making the reservation and maybe even consider a two night stay. Would definitely recommend to friends and family members!
5/29/2023: Second stay with my now husband and second review of the Mequon Sybaris. Stayed at the Majestic suite this time. It was newly renovated and very clean. The king size mattress was a very firm foam mattress. It was too firm for both of us, but that is personal preference. The single shower head in the pool room shower was disappointing. We prefer two shower heads like in the chalet suite. Also, the water pressure in the shower was a little too weak. The whirlpool jets were way too weak and we prefer an attached whirlpool to the pool like we had at the Frankfort location. The shower in the bathroom was nicely renovated although we did not use it. We used the pool room one which should also come stocked with shampoo and soap like the one in the bathroom. The most annoying thing was the super loud fan next to the double sink vanity. It sounded like a wind tunnel. Not sure if it is a dehumidifier. We could not figure out how to turn it off. The massage chair was awesome! Overall, we had a great time and the staff was professional as always, so would still give 5 stars and recommend it to...
Read moreI seriously can’t say enough amazing things about this place! From start to finish the entire experience was incredibly special. Everyone we interacted with that worked there was incredible, especially Frank. He is the security guard there that makes sure that this private hotel experience stays private and safe. He has a bunch of helpful tips and info on the rooms and the ground to the villas. Great way to start our experience as this place is tucked away and quiet and he made us feel 100% safe.
The room we got was the top model and all the villas have their own private parking and entrance to the room. This alone made it feel private and very nice. Upon entering the room I was absolutely blown away at the space given and what is in the room! They had a full size swimming pool that was heated, a steam room with dual shower heads, a jacuzzi, a massage chair, bidet, another walk in shower, starlights above the bed, accent lighting everywhere and a really nice fireplace feature. The amount of remotes and switches that control every aspect of your experience had to total to 30 plus things to adjust and make perfect. The lighting and speakers to hook up your own phone and secluded feel really made this place feel special and private.
The room was absolutely spotless, the attention to detail setting up the room and welcoming us was amazing and you can tell the staff puts genuine effort into everything. Cleanliness is a massive priority with these suites and they absolutely nailed it. We used every single water feature, possibly twice, and still had fresh towels left over. They are perfectly equipped with anything you need. My wife got us this room as a surprise for our anniversary and it truly felt that we got every ounce of our money worth and it was the first place we stayed that felt special.
Best way to describe this experience vs other hotel and villas would be that you go to other hotels and get a nice hotel to stay at while you leave the property and go do other things. This place you get the hotel and you literally never want to leave at all because it has everything you need and more. So yes you can get cheaper hotels but that is not the point of this place, you get this suite to connect with your partner and relax and have every single amenity you could dream of and never leave your room.
This place was worth every penny spent and truly made our anniversary feel so special and I couldn’t say enough nice things about this place. Can’t think of a single thing we would change or that we can complain about.
It is a must go to for couples, hands down best experience...

Sybaris was a nice getaway rooms are clean but the Deluxe Whirlpool, suite could had used Neutralizing Spray The room had a mild Odor like damp sewer. In the Chalet, there was no odors, and all that room was beautiful.
We have been coming here for years and this is our first time staying in the Chalet Absolutely beautiful, full size swimming pool with a slide, upstairs What’s the bedroom and the Jacuzzi really nice size TV was probably 70 inch . I wish all the other suites had larger TVs as well Such as a 47 to 50 . There was a parking garage that was attached to the room. We really enjoyed this room it is most expensive out of all the rooms. So we got a deal by staying on a Thursday and we also received a military discount. I will say things have changed since we have been coming here for more than 12 years . The towels are thinner, smaller in size and less plush. They also don’t put as many towels in the rooms as they used to. They used to have two for the Jacuzzi, two with the regular shower with hand towels, two in the steam room. Now there are 4 bath towels and 2 face towels. It was nice to extra towels when staying multiple nights then you don’t have to call for housekeeping. The amenities have changed dramatically. We used to get complementary chocolate covered strawberries and champagne In our room upon arrival. We stayed 3 nights and got only 2 bottles of complementary water. If you wanted more it cost extra. They would provide complementary champagne, champagne glasses, and/ or wine of our choice. if we stayed multiple nights we would get two of each of the complementary items. Now they don’t give you anything. They have more toiletries in the room, , complementary soap, shampoo they still give you the toothbrush and toothpaste, Q-tips. It was really nice to get those complementary items, especially when you spent so much money! We stayed there three nights one in the chalet two in the deluxe whirlpool, and we didn’t receive any complementary items at all for three nights stay. That’s what happens sometimes when new management comes in things change not always for the better. Management new to reconsider their amenities, especially if people are staying...
