I just got canceled because I am a woman with short hair and booked a men’s cut. It doesn’t take an hour to cut and type my hair no matter how long you try. Cathy said she would have noticed I was a woman when I walked in and canceled me. I had emailed her prior letting her know I was a woman with short hair. She texted me 3 hours before my cut and said she canceled me because I’m a woman and she needed an hour. Why are cut descriptions “men” and “women”? Why not “short” and “long”? I have been going to The Color Bowl for a couple of years now and love it! I started getting my haircut there with Abby in 2018 and have loved every visit. I had my first appointment with Cathy and am obsessed. I requested a chill, quiet session because I talk all week at work and she was happy to accommodate my request. We still chatted through out but the pressure to not have to be on was great. She came up with a great color option to cover my gray's and didn't try to over sell me. We vibed and she was very funny. I will be back to get my hair colored and cut. The place is very chill and not like most salons that are overwhelming with so many people and loud music....
