My parents booked our stay for our honeymoon. We've never been to Serenity Springs or even heard of it honestly. We arrived a little later on Sunday for our check in but as soon as we arrived we were greeted warmly by someone at the front desk. She was very knowledgeable about our stay. She knew from the get go that my dad booked our stay at the lighthouse cabin and even took the time have us scan a QR code to have a little welcome video play as she took us back to our cabin. She gave us a full rundown on how it all works and let us know if we need anything to not hesitate! I will say for someone who hates asking for things or bothering people..the butler box is the best touch!! We didn't have to talk or call anyone for anything! They check these periodically throughout your stay which was super convenient! When we came into our cabin they had a cute little personal welcome note and a just married balloon along with some treats and bath salts. The cabin was clean and we loved how everything was labeled. We selected some movies to borrow and we ended up watching all that we selected. They give you feed to feed the waterfowl and they are right! You throw it out to them more will come!! I love feeding ducks so this was so much fun to me and they even filled our feed bucket and gave us more during our stay as well. The little treats and snacks they pop in your door throughout the day is so exciting. We received so many great treats, cheesecake, s'mores, candy bars, the snack basket, we even asked for farm fresh eggs and bacon. They provided us with everything we needed to cook those items. We also asked for a late checkout which was granted. We are not early risers so being able to stay until 4pm instead of 11am was spectacular. We honestly didn't even stay until 4pm we ended up checking out around 1:30-2 pm which when we checked out we paid for our extras we asked for. We ended up getting doordash one evening and the staff delivered it to our cabin so we didn't have to fuss with doordash. We asked for champagne and the chocolate covered strawberries and they were both delicious! My husband and I are so sad we had to leave as we didn't want to go yet! We had a 3 night stay with them at Cabin #6 the lighthouse. We also didn't have to clean our dishes! We just set them in the butler box, requested the service, and they picked up the dirty ones and brought back clean dishes to use. The cabin was very secluded from the others and wasn't too far from the front gate. We even had a horseshoe driveway for our cabin so it made it feel even more private. We could barely see the other cabins around us and we even had our own private part of the channel to feed the waterfowl. This was such a perfect way to start our new life together. Spending quality time alone together definitely helped us relax and having someone else do all the hard work(butler box). Some things I would recommend if you plan on staying here; bring some DVDs with you, we asked for some and we got them but we were big on movie watching so we were happy that we brought some along with us. We brought an air freshener wall plug in and some poopourri because they don't have actual doors on the bathrooms this helped tremendously. If you think you need the late checkout, get the late checkout! Like I mentioned before it was so nice not having to rush and leave so suddenly instead we were able to take our time, enjoy our last cup of coffee together before we headed out(they also provided Togo coffee cups so you could take coffee Togo). Bring extra cozy items, blankets, slippers, and etc. I'm a big bath person myself so we brought epsom salt and some bath bombs with us knowing we would have sunken tub. They do offer massage oils and bath bombs to purchase to use but we had some already so it was nice. We will highly recommend Serenity Springs to our friends and family. We also most definitely will be back hopefully sometime soon. Thank you for making our stay...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust left from a 2 night stay in #25 Cottontail cabin. As a full time working mom, and dad of 3 boys, and my husband working midnights for over a month, it was a great stay. All you have to bring as a guest is alcohol, if you drink. They supply more than enough snacks, and soft drinks, juices, etc. Even farm fresh eggs. The butler box they use, is such a brilliant idea. You aren't bothered by anyone, and they are on top of everything. One of my favorites is they give you a big Tupperware full of feed for the geese, and ducks. Unfortunately, I learned when I was about out of feed, that the geese are bullies to the ducks, and try to get them away from the food. So at the end, I walked over to where the few ducks were, and tried to feed them separately,as fast as I could, before the geese came. Lol that was relaxing for me. We Also enjoyed riding their complimentary bicycles, which my husband pushed me to do 4 laps, and if you haven't rode a bike in awhile, take your time, I almost crashed into a car the first ride haha. We also enjoyed time in the clubhouse playing ping pong, where I surprised the hubby, I actually was good at a sport (if you call that a sport). Friday night we went to a restaurant called Leeds. It was a last resort, because everything else was closed, but it turned out to be the absolute best dinner we ever had (sirloin steak), then Saturday night, Serenity-springs put in an order for us to get aurellios pizza, and we didn't have hassle of dealing with a delivery driver, or even ordering it. We put what we wanted on a piece of paper, put in the butler box, and they did all that for us as well. We also visited the Lighthouse premier outlet mall, which it was a beautiful day for walking, but the lines were horrendous, and we couldn't visit the stores we wanted (which due to covid), I'm sure normally it's great. For the most part though, we stayed in, and around our cabin. I'm excited for the carriage rides, and the massages to come back, that will make it a 10! great time. Only thing negative (and, it's not that bad) the water is hard water, so the hot tub water is yellow, and after taking a tub there's rust crumbs floating. They give you, and I brought Epson salt, my Epsom salt was unscented, so I do suggest you bring some with a scent. However, like i said, that was the biggest problem I had, and I still took 3 tubs, so it didn't bother me that bad, I just want couples to be prepared for that. Oh, one other thing, which wasn't that big of a deal. If you're a non smoker, you might want to bring a candle of your pleasure. Had just a tiny bit of stale cigarette smoke. It didn't bother me, but my husband noticed it, but he even said, it wasn't horrible, but that next time, we'd bring a candle. Sorry for the long review, but out of a 10, our experience was I'd say a 9. Thank you, and I can't wait to come back. P.s. if it's your thing, I'd suggest is to bring some...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām writing this review for out of Town people like my Husband and I. We decided to stay 3 days for my 29th birthday. And let me just say the first impression was great. We drove about 4 hours to come to Serenity springs. We were checked in and taken to our cabin by a van because it had been raining. We arrived and was given the tour of the cabin. Heated floors , tub in the room , DVDs to choose from, board games to play, fire place. She explained there were two area restaurants to choose from and they have it delivered to your door. By candlelight if you choose from one of them. They provide you with a stocked fridge of non-alcoholic beverages of your choosing. A variety of chips and snacks, bait for catch and release fishing , and I even had a happy birthday balloon waiting on me. It was a real treat. I will Say this. If you come to enjoy any area attractions or are a very touristy person this will not be your place. We wanted to eat out one night and found a difficult time finding anything close and decent. We ended up going to El Brachero in La Porte and the food made me feel very ill. The Indiana dunes national park was nice, as well as the lighthouse at Washington park beach. I was surprised by how dead this town is. Keep in mind we did go in October but upon leaving we did have trouble even finding a souvenir shop. Or anything that had āMichigan Cityā on it. Overall I got What I came for And was able to relax. And feel refreshed. We hardly left the cabin. I will Say there was a few things they could update. The cabins do not have WiFi so you donāt have the option to hook up to Netflix, Hulu or anything like that. They have a selection of DVDs in the office which is nice in a way, but also kinda limited. You canāt drive your vehicle back to your cabin which was also kinda of nice , but then also kinda inconvenient. We found our selves using the bikes provided to drive up to the vehicle. The bikes are a nice touch for riding the trails. And they also have a butler box. You leave a note, flip a switch and they try to fulfill your needs. In most cases they did. I asked For headache medicine I got It. They leave treats in your box throughout your stay , but do not change up the treats. By the time our 3rd night rolled around we were tired of cheesecake and sāmores. Maybe switch it up for longer term guests? One night we ordered in and our food was 2 hours late from the restaurant. Then the poor girl who delivered the food was so rattled she delivered The wrong food to the wrongs cabins. The manager was completely apologetic and made it right. They were the most friendly people around, and definitely the nicest. Again overall it was a pleasant stay. And I would recommend to anyone who just needs to go and relax. I did get my carriage ride in my birthday. But didnāt see much of the horses. Again it was October. Thank you for a great birthday, and I hope This helps anyone wanting to...
