I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Brewery Lodge & Supper Club in Michigan City, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This hidden gem nestled in the heart of Michigan City not only boasts a charming ambiance but also offers a culinary journey that left my taste buds dancing with delight. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff. Morgan and Bobbi, in particular, stood out with their excellent service. Their attentiveness and knowledge of the menu were impressive, and they went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was perfect. What truly set Brewery Lodge & Supper Club apart was the exceptional presence of the manager. Their involvement was evident throughout the evening, from ensuring a smooth flow of service to personally checking in with each table. It's rare to find a manager so dedicated to both the customers and the quality of the dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food. The cilantro lime gazpacho with a generous portion of crab medley was a revelation. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the freshness of the ingredients shone through with every spoonful. The addition of the crab medley elevated the dish to new heights, adding a delightful richness that complemented the tangy gazpacho beautifully. For the main course, I opted for the Mahi Mahi with vegetable quinoa, and I was not disappointed. The Mahi Mahi was cooked to perfection – tender, flaky, and bursting with flavor. The vegetable quinoa provided a delightful textural contrast and added a healthy and wholesome element to the dish. Each bite was a harmonious blend of tastes and textures that left me thoroughly satisfied. The attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience at Brewery Lodge & Supper Club is truly commendable. From the moment you step in to the moment you leave, you're treated to a culinary journey guided by attentive staff, an exceptional manager, and a menu that showcases the finest flavors. If you find yourself in Michigan City, a visit to Brewery Lodge & Supper Club is an absolute must. Prepare to be delighted and impressed in equal measure.

DO NOT PLAN AN EVENT HERE We nearly had to cancel our wedding following a horrendous experience with management and event planning. First, when we initially signed and booked our deposit, which was a room block deposit, not a venue deposit, they left out a HUGE detail. With parties of 75+, you need to rent additional bathrooms. This was not written or mentioned anywhere during that first meeting or what was signed that day. Tasting went fine and well, food was great and the chef and other staff were very kind and pleasant to chat with. We met with Amber, the events manager we met with the first time, and discussed different options for things we were wanting etc, the number one line was ‘we can finalize that later.’ Great! Then they had almost no contact with us throughout the summer. When our planner started 6 weeks prior, she was flabbergasted that there was still nothing else signed or confirmed. We never got the answers we were looking for, particularly a deal we were supposed to have for the restrooms since they had (supposedly) 2 other events surrounding ours, so we could share the costs of nice ones since they never told us in the first place. We never signed anything since no one was answering our questions. They refused to email us and insisted we call, then constant phone tag. When our planner got a hold of them, they were rude and defensive immediately towards her, and suddenly there was a signed agreement and they were claiming we agreed to many things we didn’t. We now needed to pay full price for bathrooms we were never told about in the first place because the other events were canceled. It was coming down to paying 2x as much as expected for half of the benefit. When asking for this signed agreement, they kept sending over the unsigned proposal and doubling down. When they realized nothing was signed, they tried to edit a PDF to imply we signed it. Luckily, I screenshotted what the proposal looked like, with the sign and pay button still there as an option, because they sent over the proposal where that was suddenly edited out/turned off, and trying to imply we signed it. Attempting to lie and manipulate, and frankly attempt at forgery, was far crossing the line. Luckily we found a fabulous venue and everything went perfectly. We are still waiting on the room block refund since we signed without being given all the information that goes with it (aka booking our own bathrooms?). My guess is Amber thought she could trap us with time, but I’d rather cancel than be anywhere near that venue or events planning team. My sisters-in-law were at the tasting and witnessed the conversations they denied, many family members texted us about being hung up on, spoken to disrespectfully, and more. There is plenty enough to justify a refund, and at minimum, an apology. I would be VERY WEARY of trying to plan any events there uness they have a revamp of their...

Disappointed in our stay. We were looking forward to a relaxing stay at The Brewery Lodge but here is our experience. Starting with the lodge, walking from check in to our room desperately needs updated to make guests view a more welcoming site it is Very rundown. Our bathroom was Very dated. Needed new paint on doors. Bed and wood paneled wall as shown on website was nice. But disappointed in the rest of the room being run down, for the price. I wish the site would show bathroom pictures to help in choosing to stay at the Brewery Lodge.|The lodge was very noisy. We were on the bottom floor with a lot of noise from the hallway. The walls must be super thin to hear all this noise. Heavy noise from walking- pounding above us. Which lasted for hours. The above noise was within the posted quite times, so I did not report. Housekeeping started cleaning very early on Sunday running vacuum cleaners cleaning rooms.|We had dinner reservations at the lodge. They do need a sign to go to the bar to ask for a table. No one greets you at the restaurant entry so you are unsure if you should wait for a host to seat you. After waiting a while Another guest told us you need to go to the bar to ask to be seated. The food was good, but they need more help. The restaurant has a nice lodge atmosphere.|We had Sunday brunch the next morning. Only one waitress. She did her best, but service of course was slow as she was trying to take care of all customers. She was very nice so that helped.|The food on the other hand was the worst breakfast that we have ever had. And this includes hotel continental free breakfast food… |We had the Veggie Frittata the menu said 3 eggs, mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, tomato for $12|It did not come with cheese, so we added cheese. It did not come with any sides, so we added toast. Our experiences with breakfast at other restaurants will have toast, hashbrowns with the meal. And the eggs will give you a choice of cheese.|Our Veggie Frittata Only came with eggs, bell peppers and onions. The eggs were dry and bland not favorable at all. They forgot the rest of the ingredients. When we were able to tell our busy waitress she said she would get mushrooms for us. Quite a bit later we were served one small plate with mushrooms on it for us to add to our now cold eggs. Breakfast for 2 costs us $45.00. If it would had been good, it would have been worth the cost.|Very disappointing to say the least. I would not recommend staying at the Lodge when paying over $300 a night unless they do...
