We came to KOA Boston/Cape Cod as first time campers looking for a family friendly campsite (we have a busy outdoor loving 1.5 year old) with lots to do but with privacy at our site. So this review is from a very unseasoned camper with nothing to compare it to! We chose KOA because it seemed great for kids and wasnt too far from home. We got everything we we're hoping for in our first camping trip! We had seen quite a few reviews about this particular KOAs management being not so great, so were unsure of what to expect. We had zero issues with staff or management. The people at check in were kind and helpful, I loved that they escorted you to your site after checking in so we didnt have to try to navigate the campground ourselves as first timers. The staff running the kids crafts and activities were also very nice. Other than these times and staff coming by to pick up our trash, no one ever bothered us! We did have probably the most secluded tent site available on the grounds, so maybe that was why we didnt run into staff very often. The RV sites are much closer together and near all the action so probably see employees pssing by more regularly. Our tent site: we had site T16, it was great. It was the one furthest out from the main drag of the grounds, which is what i requested, so I was happy they were able to accommodate my request. Though we were the most secluded, nothing was so far away that we couldnt access it easily. The bathrooms and showers were a quick walk across a field, as was the pavillion where all the children's activities were. Wecould see them from our site. Even walking back to the front of the geounds where the store, pool and playground were was only a 5ish minute walk from our site. A few things ill say about this tent site are that: the "grass" tent pad was pretty much non existent. The site was mostly dirt. Also the edges surrounding the site did have some areas with lots of thorns, which is probably only a problem for people with a feral toddler like us 😂 and lastly the road passes right behind our site and you can see/hear the cars clearly right through a small patch of trees. But none of these were deal breakers for us and we would definitely request the same site next time we stay. Kids Activities: There was so much to do! Our son is still young so even though a lot of the crafts or activities were a little too advanced for him, we were able to do a couple of them and it was really fun. There was pretty much some type of event or activity going on at all times all weekend long. There are two plygrounds. One is more simple with things like a small obstacle course, cornhole, ladder golf, kids swings, basketball, volleyball and lawn billiards. The other one closer to the store/office had a large play structure, which is good for bigger kids. It was a little too big for our 1.5 year old. He loved the jumping pad and bounce pillow! We also loved that the pool was heated! We were able to swim comfortably even though it was a little cooler in the morning. Facilities: the entire campground seemed very clean and well maintained! Bathrooms and showers were older but clean. The grounds are very clean. The campground store at the check in office was very helpful if we forgot something and was also reasonably priced! I got my little guy some cute souveniers for around $5-8 each. They also sell ice there (i got four bags for $11) and can have wood delivered directly to your campsite if you need it! (You are allowed to bring your own if you want to which we did.) Overall, we are super happy with how our first camping trip went and will absolutely be camping at KOA again! Likely will check out some of the other New England locations as well. The atmosphere here is great, everyone is friendly, staff and other campers included, kids riding bikes all around, everyone chatting around their campfires, lots to do, clean and well kept facilities, an awesome family friendly campground. I'll attach some photos of our stay!

Boston Cape Cod KOA is a nice campground. It is pet friendly with two dog parks and even at least one site with a small private pet pen. There are plenty of amenities for kids and adults. It is well shaded for the most part so our Starlink was useless. The campground wifi is smoking fast but they do not allow streaming or gaming so it wasn't much use to us, although, I guess if they allowed it it would have been as useless as a typical campground wifi. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The laundry facilities, bath rooms, and showers were clean and well stocked. We stayed in a full hookup back in site towards the back of the campground and it was very peaceful. The sites were not huge but were ample and easy to get into. The hookups were standard with no special adapters needed. The water pressure is very high so a pressure regulator is required. The interior roads were well maintained and easy to navigate. There are playgrounds, bounce pads, horseshoe pits, ladder golf, basketball, volleyball, lawn billiards, and a heated swimming pool (seasonal) and more. There are plenty of stores, including several Walmarts, gas stations, and a Camping World within about 15 minutes. We enjoyed our stay at Boston Cape Cod KOA and would definitely stay again.

Stayed in Deluxe Cabin 3. Floors were terrible I had to mop them with a towel because my child’s feet turned black after the first night of walking on them. They left a dirty wash rag in the bathroom from previous renters. You can tell they don’t clean around the twin bunk beds we found trash in between the walls and the bed. Bed bugs!!!!! The last couple nights my husband, daughter, little sister and myself were ate alive by bed bugs. I’m assuming they were left there from the previous renters and hatched while we were there. We called staff and they didn’t do anything about it. They advised us that house keeping didn’t find evidence of bed bugs or fleas and only apologized for the bites we have. We paid WAY too much money for this cabin to be dirty and for my family to be covered in bug bits!!!!

My family has been camping at KOA for almost 14 years, we are Gold Star Members of KOA. After this last trip I wouldn’t recommend going to this camp grounds. Let me start off by saying that I understand with COVID we are all in a new world, new rules and new life... With that being said the day we checked in we where advised to sign up at 8am for pool hours as there is only 43 people allowed in the pool at a time and each slot was 2 hours. After my family put together our site in 94 degree heat we went to the office to see if there was a possibility of any hours left for the pool that day, there was none. I think that the families checking in should automatically get the last spot for pool hours (6-8) to cool down from the set up. I went to the office around 6:30 pm to buy some sugar and was telling the front desk how it crazy that check in is at 1 and how we arnt there for sign ups for the pool and was told that Mon-Thursday it’s open pool time no sign ups needed ( checked in on a Thursday) !! After not 1 but 2 family members inquired about pool time that day. The next morning I was a the office at 7:50 to make sure my family was able to get pool time. I signed up my 5 members of my family as well as my 2 family members who where on their way up. I was told I couldn’t sing my family up who weren’t there till they arrived or I paid. Ok normally no big deal, BUT I spent 30 minutes on the phone with them the day I booked my trip asking how visitors passes worked, how they obtain pool hours ect.. Not once did they mentions paying prior to signing them up, it’s not a big deal to pay but when you are waking w a toddler to and from the office and now having to go back to get your wallet to pay was ridiculous and should have been told to me on my lengthy phone call with them. After I get back and pay for my 2 visitors I signed us all up and they said I was all set for my hours. I was talking to another camper and noticed they walked out with color brackets I asked what they where for and was told that you need to wear the bracelet colored with your pool time hours. Well back into the office I go to get my families bracelets, and when I said 7 was asked if I had 2 sites because you can’t have 7 people to a site! Started the whole story over again about my 2 visitors who where on their way for the day pass, was asked if I paid and had to show a receipt. Once my family arrived there was no one at the check in (outsider curb side check in), so they drove to my site. About 30 minutes later we where asked where their car ticket was to show proof they are supposed to be there. I walked to curb side check in asked for the the car pass, was told it was in side. Went inside waited in line to be told it was at curbside, back outside to obtain my pass. Was asked AGAIN if my visitors where paid for when on the pass it clearly stated PAID. 14 years we have been visiting KOA 14 years my family has spent a week at a time, we lasted 2 days and cut our trip early. All management could tell me about the issues was it must have been miscommunication. KOA Boston/Cape Cod was beyond disorganized. KOA lost a 14 year member in less...

Will never stay here again, not that the owners or staff care, but first I would give negative stars if available. We are on a motorhome trip up the ear coast from Florida with final destination to be Bar Harbor, Maine. We had no choice after the reviews I read to stay 3 days at the Boston/Cape Cod KOA as it was pretty central to the destinations we wanted to visit for day trips and the campground we wanted in Foxborough/Normandy Farms was booked up. We left Philadelphia and arrived to this KOA an hour and 20 min early, upon check in “Serena” was very rude, letting us know we were early, our site wasn’t ready and if we wanted to check in we would have to pay $25.00. My husband asked if she could check to see if the site was available, reluctantly she called down and someone told her “yes, it is vacant.” She again said if we wanted to check in early, we had to pay $25.00, my husband said I will be checking out 3 hours before checkout due to driving to Maine, so why do we have to pay an early arrival fee, by the time we get set up we won’t be using water or electric worth $25. She said we can leave and return if we’d like. Well that isn’t easy to do in a 44’ motorhome, we can’t “just go anywhere easily”, so he paid the fee. Our site was straight past the Highlands turnoff close to the cabins and field. Upon hooking up the sewage hose, the pipe is located on a small hill that separates this site from the cabin in back… have you heard the saying “Shit doesn’t run Up-Hill?” Who seriously designs such things? It was Labor Day weekend, The sites are so close together, I have never seen a campground so crowded with vehicles just parked right next to each other all the way down the road, felt like I was in a parking lot not a campground, let alone all the dirt and mud. We have stayed in a lot of campgrounds KOA’s and self owned and this was the worse experience ever. Oh and the continued texts you get from the office telling everyone about day visitors need to pay, something with the water, etc… it became annoying, not helpful. On a positive note, the few occasions my husband had when making our original reservation and then having to change the date of arrival due to a steering tire blowout, he spoke to Phyllis (I believe that is her name), and she was very nice he had intentions on going back in and talking with her about the early checkin fee, but we were busy sightseeing, the office was...
