Audited Verified Review (AVR) Brief History Hyatt House Minot, the first Hyatt-branded hotel in North Dakota, opened on May 29, 2013, under Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Interstate Hotels & Resorts. Located on Minot’s North Hill, this 130-room, 4-story extended-stay hotel serves business and leisure travelers, particularly those connected to the Bakken Formation oil industry, offering residentially inspired suites. NAICS Code 721110 - Hotels (except Casino Hotels) and Motels. This code reflects the hotel’s provision of short-term lodging and related services. SIC Code 7011 - Hotels and Motels. This code corresponds to establishments providing lodging on a short-term basis, aligning with the hotel’s extended-stay model. Ownership The hotel is owned by North Hill Suites, LLC, with Barry Farah as the managing member, who also served as the general contractor during construction. It operates under the Hyatt House brand, a division of Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Management The hotel is led by General Manager David Wick, overseeing daily operations, and Director of Sales Lorena Starkey, managing sales and traveler support. Angela Lowe serves as Sales Manager, contributing to group bookings and guest relations. Address: 2301 Landmark Drive NW, Minot, ND 58703. Phone Number: (701) 838-7300. Website: www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/north-dakota/hyatt-house-minot/motxm Economic Impact Hyatt House Minot supports the local economy by providing lodging for oil and gas industry workers and tourists visiting attractions like the Scandinavian Heritage Park. Its proximity to Minot International Airport (2 miles) and Minot State University (3 miles) drives commerce. Meeting spaces and group bookings attract corporate events, benefiting nearby businesses like Mi Mexico and The Starving Rooster. Employment Specific employee numbers are unavailable, but the hotel employs staff for front desk, housekeeping, food service (H Bar), and management roles. Reviews indicate a dedicated team, though staffing challenges are noted. The 24/7 operation, with amenities like a fitness center and H Bar, supports local job opportunities. Compliance No significant compliance issues are reported. The hotel adheres to Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, ensuring legal compliance and transparency. A toll-free ethics hotline (1-866-294-3528) supports accountability. Reputation Hyatt House Minot holds a 4.5/5 rating from 393 reviews on Hyatt’s website and 8.6/10 on Booking.com. Guests commend spacious suites, complimentary breakfast, and friendly staff, but some report housekeeping inconsistencies and aging infrastructure, such as unclean bathrooms or noise. Its smoke-free and pet-friendly policies enhance its appeal. Social Responsibility Participation and Involvement Score (SRPIS) 7/10. The hotel participates in Hyatt’s Green Program, offering guest-initiated cleaning to conserve water, reflecting environmental responsibility. Its pet-friendly and accessible facilities promote inclusivity. While it supports local tourism and businesses, limited evidence of extensive community or charitable initiatives specific to this location moderates the score.

So starting off checking into the hotel, the gal at the desk(I am horrible at getting names, I apologize. But she had a nose ring with a chain) was super friendly! She gave me my cards and told me to enjoy my stay. The room was incredible (I totally meant to book just a single one bedroom king room, but hit 2 rooms on accident, whatever, I made the best of it and used the additional room's bed as a place to put my suitcase on, and my boyfriend used the shower and toilet so we could get ready faster) the beds were way comfy and we ended up using them more than the couch haha! The tub was a little small, but I am more of a shower person anyways so I didn't care. The bathroom in the one room was so spacious, the other had the sink on the outside of the bathroom. However, the kitchen was amazing and big, just wish there would have been a bigger trash can available. We ended up buying our own pack of water since we drank so much. I really don't have that much to complain about. Other than my mobile key on my phone didn't wanna work and I kept forgetting to say something while I was down in the lobby.

Upon arrival I was greeted by Shakeera and Lorena they were both polite and helpful getting me checked in to my company accommodation. They explained all amenities and services available at the property. The room is nice and clean for the most part. Definitely looks a little worn in areas but that's understandable due to the high occupancy. Overall great fresh breakfast and cordial staff. Thank for welcoming me back to Minot. Best regards!!!! Special recognition towards Ms. Paige thank for your kindness and compassion for your guests. I appreciate you helping me during my stay.Theo has been a great host while staying at the Hyatt House a true professional, going above and beyond for the quality of comfort. Your customer service should be commended much appreciated!!! Most recently back in Minot for business I was pleasantly greeted by Lacy. Her welcoming character allowed me to be at ease as she booked my stay. She was cordial, professional explained all the details regarding the property. Thank you Lacy for being receptive and helpful.

Do NOT stay at this hotel, save your money and stay anywhere else! We paid around $370 for two rooms and the rooms were dirty and the furniture was old and worn. The bathroom had hair in the tub, and we were disturbed in the middle of the night concerning a noise complaint, which wasn't us. Then to add to top it all off we received a phone call while we were already checked out and on our way home. The front desk asked us to leave or the cops will be called! We informed them that we had already checked out and left. She then told us that we can no longer stay at their establishment because some guy allegedly harassed one of their housekeepers and they blamed our family. We explained again that we had left the premises so we couldn't understand why they were calling and accusing our family. We then asked them to check the cameras, they said they would talk to their housekeepers and get back to us. We left it at that but decided to call the next day to find out if the issue was resolved, which it wasn't. I explained to them that we talked to all of our kids and that it wasn't anyone from our family as we have more respect for the working class than that. Again, I asked the hotel to check the cameras. The front desk clerk then asked me for a physical description of all the males in our group, which I gave her. We were asked to call back this evening which my husband did. He was told by the manager that they didn't have cameras anywhere except the ground floor and the "Facts" were that the two housekeepers stories matched so therefore our family was tried and convicted according to them. They couldn't even match the description of the males in our family but they were guilty as far as they were concerned. My husband tried to ask questions but the manager didn't give him a chance to be heard and just kept talking over him. I truly believe that it was a racially motivated incident, as we are Native Americans. We are beyond upset and it's sickening that this type of treatment is still...

The hotel is not centrally located. It is on a truck bypass and there is a lot of truck noise day and night. It is about a mile and a half west of the airport.

Check in was slow even though I was the only person at the counter. She was having computer problems and it took no less than 20 minutes. She was polite and a bit rattled by the problems. After 4 pm on a Saturday and did not know if there was even a room ready so she also had to check that. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The bed was just ok. Breakfast was mediocre at best. The eggs were tasteless and burned, the waffles soggy and gross. Warm milk and juices. Coffee is not available all day, only during breakfast.

She had to do a $15 charge on our debit card for incidentals. I get that. She must have charged us twice as it showed on our account 2 debits for easch $15.00. Their sign says 3-5 days from checkout and the funds will be released. On Monday I happened to look at our account and noticed the double charge so I called and whoever I talked to told me it takes 3 business days for the funds to be released. Oops they must have charged us twice. No excuse for that after paying $250 for the room. Now, on Thursday those funds are still pending. I call again today...now it takes 3-5 days for release. Not that $30 is going to break me but it is ridiculous that 5 days after we checked out they are still holding those funds.

I didn't use the pool but it was extremely small and you can smell the chlorine throughout the main floor of the hotel.

Parking is ridiculous. Not only have they not had the lot stripped causing people to park badly, with all the trucks there was no where to park. Part of our party had to park on the street.

The hotel is modern and nicely decorated but I highly doubt that we would stay...
