I have spent more than 3 THOUSAND dollars at this location as I sold my home and looked for housing. To say the management is inconsistent inconsiderate and greedy is an understatement. I originally had a negative review on after a stay almost a year ago during which a non-English speaking housekeeper WALKED INTO MY ROOM BEFORE 11 am check out and startled me awake! The halls and stairs have not been vacuumed in weeks and the dust and cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. When I came back to make a long term price agreement due to my living situation and necessity to stay close to my job (next door), Monica, the “manager” said she would give me price of $85 night AFTER TAXES and not hold their ridiculous $100 deposit for “incidentals”, IF I removed the negative google review. I did so and paid the $85 for nearly a month every single night. I used the room to SLEEP and didn’t even ask for room service daily. Every 2 days I would give the non English speaking room cleaners a $5 or $10 bill to change sheets and vacuum. Then over the weekend early September she raised prices to some crazy $140 for a weekend due to something bringing customers to town so I had to pay that as well! I went to a hotel in Columbia which meant I drove 45 miles after work at 12 am just to get an affordable rate! When I returned last week, my regular rate was up to $101 per night and they now require a $100 bill to hold for incidentals. I was also told I need to clean my own room while here. So for a week I have been doing so and getting my sheets and stained “clean” towels in the evening after work making my own room and cleaning dumping trash FOR THEM as well as higher rate. Last night, I reported to the young man on staff that the smell of marijuana upstairs by my room was overwhelming. He came upstairs smelled. It went back downstairs as if it didn’t matter at all. I just tested positive for Covid and was told this morning I had to check out that there were no available rooms. so I am in here sick trying to get the room cleaned so I can have my hundred dollars back and drive to Macon Missouri just for a place to sleep while I’m sick. That is Monica and her family and that is how they treat people 100%! They recently had a death in the family and I expressed my condolences as i am sure it was difficult but I now realize that they do not have the same good hearted values and are just about the money and treat strangers who travel better than someone local trying to get a place to live and work at the same time. Just not good people but unfortunately They have the monopoly on a place to stay in this little town and they are taking advantage of it. So much more but I must pack up with COVID to get out or I will lose another $100 to this family and their fleet of black...

I checked in to my reserved room on the 18th of July 2024 at about 1130pm. After a very long day flying from the west coast, where we had multiple flight delays, and then a two and a half hour drive from Kansas City Airport to get here. When I got to the office to check in, the receptionist immediately started yelling at me disrespectfully saying that he had a full house and he had been calling me over and over at least 6 times and that he had the wrong phone number. He told me that he was calling me because he had another person he wanted to give my reservation away to. I explained to him that it was not my fault that he did not have my correct phone number and that I had had a very long day, and that my family and I were tired and wanted to check in to our reservation. The receptionist started checking me in, but the entire time he was checking me in he was talking to me disrespectfully and giving me a lecture over and over about how I should have made sure he had the right telephone number and that I should know how to do business with a hotel. He was extremely rude, and the only reason I was staying quiet is because he was looking for a reason to not give me the room that I had reserved. This guy was really out of line and should not be in the hospitality business. If it had been earlier in the day I would have left to find another hotel. Then the next day my wife went to ask for a trash bag in the evening and the same guy came out and was very rude and disrespectful to her as well. She did not put up with it and excused his behavior by saying she interrupted his dinner. The other staff was not pleasant or friendly either, and most of them could not understand English. Very disappointing experience. They are nice rooms with a nice little breakfast, but the staff...

My expectations were low before I walked through the door but this place seemed to go below any of my expectations. The staff was rude and obnoxious to people upon check in. Their system was very slow to get you checked in. We got to our room, remembering our expectations were low, and those expectations became reality. The room did not look clean; it just looked throwed together to look clean. There was a musty smell in the air. We dropped off our bags and went to a friend’s house. Later that night while going to the bathroom there was a dead cockroach behind the bathroom door. I said to myself be thankful it is dead than alive. I got up in the middle of the night not sleeping well worried about bugs and went to the bathroom. I look down and there is a cockroach crawling across the bathroom floor. How gross is that? My husband woke up not long after and said, “let’s get out of here this place is nasty” not even knowing about the cockroach on the floor yet. We hurried up and threw some clothes on and as the husband was brushing his teeth, bugs came up out of the bathroom sink as the water was running. That’s just nasty!!!!! What is even nastier is that I had to brush my teeth after knowing there were bugs in that sink. Taking our bags to the car and walking to the front door wanting to get ourselves out of there, we look down and there are around fifty bugs just all over the floor crawling around. The woman at the front counter seemed untouched by the enormous amount of bugs around. Did I mention this was maybe five feet from the cereal they had out for their breakfast? This place needs the health department to come in and shut them down. If we ever go back to that area again, we will be staying...
