Nice camping areas which are just secluded enough for some privacy. There are toilets and dumpsters onsite, but there is no running water (other than the river) so be prepared.
There were nice new wooden tubs with water faucets piped from the hotspring... i prefer natural tubs, but the water here has a remarkable mineral content that left my skin feeling tingly and rejuvinated after only a short soak.
It is 5 dollars a piece for 24 hours hotspring access and 16 dollars for a campsite. These are paid at 2 separate kiosks.
It is about a mile hike to the hotspring from the parking lot.

My buddy and I showed up in the middle of the night. We didnt notice the parking lot for the springs. So we just parked in a random camping spot.
We paid our 5 bucks a piece to go to the springs which was all the cash we had. My buddy took off, but i crashed in my car.
Next morning a nice ranger girl came around to check the campsites. She explained the fees to me, and i told her i didnt have anymore cash, but she said i could stay at the site anyway since it wasnt busy .. so yay!

Still it kind of bums me out to have to pay to access a natural resource, but they do a good job at this spot.

Read moreCost effective and fun DIY spa day with camping optional. $18 to camp (CASH ONLY) and $5 to use hot springs, no longer included in camping price. Fellow hikers are a mixed bag, and there are no attendants ensuring cleanliness or sanitary measures are observed. Certain viruses can be transmitted through water, so I'm reticent given the clientele. If you do bring cleaning products, be sure they are 100% biodegradable and non toxic to fish as tubs drain to fish bearing streams. Kinda feels like a ghetto retreat, which I'm totally down with. I like the less regulation than you would typically expect type of experience. To really make this experience a 5 star, I would like to see the whole place refurbished, and bring all tubs up to working condition. Some have been crudely patched with metal plates and nail heads jutting into the tub. Lots of elements have been vandalized or destroyed, missing benches or hanging racks, etc. Other than that, and a mild concern for my personal safety, it is a magical enchanted forest getaway as...
Read moreIts extremely frustrating that this place has become a hot tub garbage can. The hike is beautiful and easy going but the pay off at the end is a huge disappointment. PEOPLE!!!! Why are you destroying this wonderful place!!! Stop. Please. The tubs are usually broken, garbage everywhere, and it looks like a deserted homeless camp. Take care of the natural wonders Oregon has to offer. This is not the experience I was lucky enough to enjoy 15 years ago. Now its just gross. Makes me sad. Especially now that I'm paying $5 to do so. I dont mind the cost, its just disappointing that the payment is basically for a 4 mile hike and not to enjoy the hot springs. Hang around Bagby River or Peg...
