We love coming here. By far site 12 is the best. It has access to the river, it looks over the river and a large open site. All sites are nice but don't have view of river. Vault toilets. Starting to smell a little the day we left but over all usually clean and better then going in bushes. Some sites are right off parking if you are looking to not walk to far. 12 is about 80 feet from car and toilet. You have to go about double that towards other then of camp for water if needed. We bring water and got a cart to bring over gear easier. We had while camp to ourselves for most the time because it was after labor day. Trees block most sun out so it provides great shade. About 5 to 8 degrees cooler because of it. If you have a group it's great because the site next to it connects. Not super private when full but the stream noise helps cut down on...
Read moreHonestly one of the best walk in site I have ever been to. Firepits are a good size as well as even the smaller sites. We had a smaller site and were able to fit 1 huge probably 8 person tent, 1 6 person tent and 1 2 person tent. The river is right by the sites and has easy access and the water is super clear absolutely BEAUTIFUL. There is an amazing amount of hiking trails nearby. My only minor issue was the bathroom but I figured out to just take a scent spray (febreeze) with me to dull the smell the fact that it was hot I'm sure was the only reason it was kinda stinky, but that wont deter me from visiting again MANY more times. I highly suggest checking it out. There are 15 sites so keep that in mind when...
Read moreThis is a decent camp ground. My issue was more the other campers. People leave tons of trash, don’t really clean up after themselves, and if you are looking for a quiet, family camping trip this is not the spot for that. It is now a pay & reserve campground. It was free & fc/fs for the longest time. When we talked to the individuals that worked the campground last year, they informed us they were considering this because of how campers at this spot weren’t obeying the rules & creating more work for them. Before the fire, if you drove on down the corridor and up onto the hills, there were some amazing dispersed camping spots. Unfortunately, after the fires, I’m not sure how many of these are accessible or...
