Red Barn Inn — Hotel in Monroe City

We walked in and we were transported to a total country experience! The building actually WAS a working bark, and Jack and Becky have added amenities while doing an excellent job of preserving the original character. The rooms were very comfortable, and everywhere we looked were examples of the original structure (beams and flooring preserved), additions in the same character (the added bedrooms used antique lumber and finishes), and every nook and cranny was filled with trinkets (some of which we purchased!)!||||Our hosts provided an excellent 'country' experience, and breakfast was amazing - home cooking with homemade jams!||||Highly recommended for a getaway, and with four bedrooms should also be good for...

We are delighted to have returned for our third visit! We have established a tradition of an annual trip to the lake, and we always choose to stay at the Red Barn Inn. The accommodations are clean, and the owners are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Its convenient location near the marina and a local restaurant makes for easy access to dining options. The rooms are well-maintained, and the breakfast is delicious. We often travel with a large group, and there is ample space for us to gather, play games, and socialize. We stayed here for just a weekend get away and had such relazing weekend . Jack and Becky ,the owners were fabulous they treated us like family. The barn was very well decorated with country motif that was for sale, such a very cute touch. The breakfast was so was very very good and there was plenty to go around . We could have stayed and talked for hours with owners , thy are lovely and have a beautiful home. Please stop by and stay a few night ,you will not regret it a bit ....
