I recently visited this temple. The temple is located in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. Direction and Driving: Don't trust your GPS altogether. Our GPS took us somewhere in a very remote area of the mountains where we apparently got lost. Be careful while visiting out of the country and sometimes net doesn't work in the mountains. My advise would be to travel in groups for the safety reasons. Drive is amazing, kids and elders all alike will enjoy the beauty along the way. Temple: Temple offers continuous service going on with one or the other chanting going on always. Prayer hall is large enough to accommodate a small gathering. Outside gift shop has prasadam, and little trinkets, deities pictures and statues. Outside the temple there is a place to have lunch and snacks. Washrooms are clean. A short walk around the temple offers The Golden Palace, The Swan Lake, The Lotus Lake and A Garden. Sitting at a different look out points in Golden Palace or The Garden offers some amazing views of the green space around the temple. It's worth the visit. Food and Snacks : The Govinda's Restaurant has buffet for $17 which includes daal, rice, vegetable, salad and some other sides and sweets. People are of differing opinion regarding price. Some find it over priced however, it is the facility to get food with in the premise. So like it or not .... Temple offers free food service as well on certain times. Cottages: The overnight stay arrangement is there in the cottages on the temple site. Cottages are very rustic style and designed for the devotees. Go enjoy and have fun. I would recommend the place to anyone. Worth the visit...
Read moreADVICE..DO NOT ENTER THE TEMPLE WITH SMALL KIDS... Radhe Krishna.. This review is NOT for the TEMPLE but for the one individual(priest) there .. I recently visited there with my family and friends including kids(my 2 year old among them). It's obvious that kids make noises, sometimes specially when together so did my two year old. The individual(priest) who was doing some Katha in front of some folks suddenly started yelling in very rude manner on the mic in front of everyone there. I suddenly took my son out of there within seconds. I agree that he may have felt disturbed due to the kid noise but to me it seems, his words were not of a priest because .. he continued for around 15 min even after my exit. he yelled about making a 2 year old disciplined who doesn't even know how to speak and understand. Which seems pointless. he mentioned like such ppl come here considering it as playground and picnic spot for pics and selfies. he started mentioning about other religions there and comparing them with Santana dharm.
For his knowledge... Bal Krishna was the naughtiest one ... if Prabhu is naughty himself then you should avoid such rudeness for 2 yr old at Krishna home itself.
There is always a way of politeness..like "Please take little Govinda outside as ppl listening Katha"

The Aarti is just so divine and has a very positive vibrations. The Bhagawad Gita satsang happens all the time and that is very soul refreshing to listen. This place is located away from the cities in the middle of forest and mountains. It feels so close to nature and God Krishna ! . The Goshala is so nice and feels so divine with the cows around. Kids love the Goshala ! . I heard that all the milk that is used in the New Vrindavan is from the Goshala. The Govinda restaurant is excellent all foods are freshly prepared and served hot. The taste is so good. The food is kid friendly and not spicy which is good. Very friendly kind staff at the restaurant as well. Also the temple serves prasadam for breakfast and lunch.
