They are not the Hilton like some people would seem to want, but it is camping so I'm not sure why one would expect that..... That being said, it was nice to have a bathroom with hot water and a refrigerator in the cabin. They were decent, but nowhere near as nice as any of the other places we have camped over the years. Suffice it to say, there are many reasons my tent would have been more comfortable. The beds were AWFUL. We left a day early so that neither of us would miss work due to being unable to function due to the severity of the awfulness of the mattresses. Even though this is not my first rodeo with camping and I bring my own waterproof and bed bug proof mattress cover, we still ended up with bed bug and spider bites. The cabin had to be completely swept, including the ceiling, for spider nests before we could enter the cabin with our stuff. Even after a pretty thorough sweeping, they could be found over and over. Clearly they do not pride themselves in cleanliness there. We found a pacifier, a 2x4, and lots of other random things under the bed. There were lots of spider webs and other debris around the water heater in the bathroom. The roof leaked and it was clear that it had been for some time, yet they seemed surprised about this when we reported it. As far as the rest, literally, aside from the uncomfortable and buggy mattresses, they do not patrol or enforce the quiet times. We were kept up all night, every night, by screaming, partying people. When I say all night, I mean this was going in every night into the hours of 3am when I was finally so exhausted that my body could no longer fight the sleep. Long story short, when we left early and let the owner know why, they did not seem to really care. There was no offer of even a partial refund for our inconvenience. I honestly could have booked a hotel room for about the same price and had a million times better stay. I needed a vacation after my vacation at this less than...

We stayed with friends 1 night only on a site for primitive camping, and I was glad it was only 1 night. The good points: the campground is clean, the staff was friendly, check-in/check-out process was a breeze. The bad points: the roads in the tenting section of the campground are not maintained at all and are hazardous for a sedan. My friends on suv who had hard time driving on those roads were surprised that I somehow managed to get to our site without damaging my car. Also, it's impossible to distinguish between the actual road and a pull-in area for a tenting site because they look the same. Another thing: the roads of the main section of the campground have names, but those names are not marked on the map they give you during check-in. And it gets worse once you get to the tenting area - not only the roads are not marked, and it's hard to understand whether you actually are on the road that's marked on their map, but there aren't signs directing you to sites. I got lost 5 times trying to drive to the site assigned to us. Finally I had to park my car and search for our site on foot. I finally found it this way. My friends who were driving separately got lost several times as well. And if you want to take a shower before going to sleep you need to drive pretty far to the bathhouse on those hazardous roads in a dark. Thank you but no thank you. One more thing: most of the tenting sites are located right on a side of the road with no privacy and cars driving right past tents. I guess some people don't mind it, but I don't understand what's the point? One might as well pitch a tent on one's front lawn and enjoy no privacy and cars driving by - all of it free of charge - but with hot shower and a flush toilet nearby. I have more things to say, but I think I've said enough. We're not coming back to this...

Campers need to know what they're getting into coming to this "campground"...

*Will continue to edit this review like a 🧵 in the coming days. (I know their digital presence will start replies quickly..) But bottom line, the owner has a penchant for putting folks 6" from one another and watching like some puppet master experement in his tiny space he devotes to electric/water...

*More to come. My camping experience this past week was the *worst of my life at this campground and I feel required to share my experience to save other campers from this absurd experience I underwent...

Imagine any campground with *normal small sites. Now cut those small normal pull through or back in sites in half.

Zero complements to the owner who had the guts to look me in the eye for about 1/2 of one second as he gave my sister a hard time over existing in his campground above 70 decibels...

I've never felt so insulted or unwelcomed. *All led by the owner's decisions.. Oddly the staff was wonderful and are the sole reason this impromptu review (that will get updates) isn't a complete slam.

Until the sites that should be ONE are brought whole again, I *CANNOT recommend this campground to anyone but those who have no clue what camping should be.

Shame on the owner for his decisions. Big shame. You need a disclaimer before allowing folks to pull up into a 30/20ft site to be aware of what they're getting into.

Imagine being able to hear the person in the site next to you sleep breathing (not snoring). Then imagine your pop up 6" next to the neighboring pop up.

Bad form from the owner on so many regards. I look forward to coming back to this review and editing to continue the experience my family was exposed to.

This is...

Just stayed there last weekend, and things really went downhill from our last stay with them two years ago. Back then the staff seemed friendly and helpful; now they seem just annoyed to speak with you. Two years ago there was a rather friendly security guard that worked with them by the name of Dave. We learned his name after we flagged him down because our son was stung by a bee and was allergic. They assisted us by showing us how to use his EpiPen. We called the front office and asked for them to call medical services, but they never did. So glad Dave was there to assist us and save our son. This time around we noticed Dave wasn't working with them anymore; we got the news from the family of seasonal campers that lived in the trailer across from the horse field. They told us they fired the security guard because Dave reported the owners, Todd and Mike's friends, for smoking pot and getting drunk and starting problems at night. The family told us that since Dave left, they've been debating about pulling out themselves because they don't feel secure there themselves anymore because almost every night some sort of fight breaks out and the owners can't handle it themselves. I know that night on Sunday we couldn't sleep because up on the hill overlooking the horse pasture, one of the trailers on the hill was getting loud, cussing, and fighting until about four in the morning. As we were checking out, we complained at the front office just to be told that sometimes the seasonal campers get carried away and then pushed out of the office. We miss Dave!

We stayed here while my sister-in-law was recovering from surgery in Pittsburgh. My biggest complaint would be the weather for the first week, which was terrible. Obviously, that's no reflection on the campground, just the way it was. The second week more than made up for it with beautiful blue cloudless skies every day. The campground is huge, with a large section in the far back for primitive camping. We walked around that area and it is simply beautiful. The middle section has cabins and a large area for seasonal camping. There weren't many people using that section yet, but I can imagine that it is a lot of fun in the summer when there are lots of families there. We stayed in the short-term area at the front of the campground, where there are some gravel and some paved sites. These sites are a bit close together, and for us, the picnic table was more in the way than useful, but it wasn't that bad. The staff is very friendly and worked hard to accommodate our stay, enabling us to stay at one site the whole time instead of having to move around. It is a family-run business and everyone there seems to really enjoy working there. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, this will definitely be our campground of choice.
