Shawnee Motel — Hotel in Napier Township

My hubs, 3 kids and I were stranded on a Sunday eve with a broke down van. We were 2 hours from where we came and about 2 hours from home. All tow places were closed. Our roadside assistance wasn't working well and we had no way of getting to a hotel. We had been on the side of the road for 2 hours at this point. I called the hotel asking for a vacancy (they did) and I asked if they knew of a ride service to get us there and I was bawling. Bill said he would pick us up, and he did...two trips! My hubs was able to get a ride home late that night to get our car and he came back by morning. Bill checked on the kids and I too, in the morning. Our vehicle was towed that morning as well.

We chatted a bit with Bill and his daughter thru our stay. Our vehicle was fixed late Tuesday and we were able to get it that eve. My hubs took our younger 2 (our special needs foster children) home that night because they had to be at school the next morning. Our older son and I stayed that night at the motel so we can pack and leave the next day.

When we checked out, our bill was taken care of!! Bill and his family said that what we do for the kids is amazing.

I also want to mention that the market next door was a God send too as they let us use a buggy Sunday eve to take supplies back to our room and got us the number for Myers garage who did our work. And a shout to Myers too. Very reasonably priced for...

Myself and a friend of mine traveled out to Shawnee to visit our friend who moved to the area and she recommended this motel as it was 7 minutes from her home. We arrived at 7:30pm and the owner Bill met us at the desk. When you first walk in, it's basically walking into their home, its very welcoming. The owner gave us our keys and we were on our way to our rooms. We were greeted by Thelma (the other owner), who was unlocking our room and made sure we were all set. I had a request for a microwave and she delivered it right away. ||||When you walked into the room it was like taking a step back to the 1950's. It was awesome! It was very inviting and extremely clean. I mean even more clean than a 5 star hotel. ||||We stayed 2 nights and it was very relaxing and comfortable. I should also mention the price to stay there was very inexpensive. Nearby there is a restaurant to eat at with great food and the motel is close to many amenities. This was the first time at the Shawnee Motel,and will not be the last.Everything about this place,from the location,super clean and cozy room,right down to the owners,and the help made my long awaited vacation everything I needed.No doubt my sister and I will come here again to chill,enjoy the peace and quiet,and the local restaurants.I cannot say enough about the Shawnee.
