CAMPER BEWARE!!!
Upon my family’s arrival at The Twin Tamarack, we checked in, excited to start our long Columbus Day weekend, around 4:30 or so, an 1 1/2 after check-in. We received our key to the trailer at site #68 and walked into this!! Feces on the toilet seat, stained sheets, dirty microwave, filthy cookware, unwashed dirty floors and bathrooms. Dust everywhere.... and hair still inside the showers! Completely disgusted by the stench, and horrified by what we were seeing, we called the front to make them aware of how unclean the trailer was. Mind you, we were originally told by the owner that professional cleaners cleaned and disinfected after each guests stay, prior to us agreeing to put down our down payment to begin with. The woman taking our call said to her husband (The owner) what we were reporting looking to him for feedback; the man said, and I quote, “I only went in to make sure it didn’t stink.” The woman apologized and sent another employee to clean. Needless to say, my family and I were displaced until 8:00 p.m with a van full of belongings and groceries we had just purchased for our family vacation. We had to now go out to dinner and feed our family of five. We were offered a complimentary night, however, the night was already gone, and the trailer we had rented for the weekend was minimally cleaned. We asked the owner to meet us in the middle at half price, off of our already [paid] three night stay, because we had just driven 3 hours to get there; were displaced until 8:00; had to go out to dinner and feed our family; and by then we just wanted to rest. (So my family was willing to settle because of this whole ordeal and just stay). The couple proceeded to laugh in my face, and said it was “my prerogative” if I wanted to leave, and the night was not gone.” Unwilling to work with us, after their mess-up, we got our full refund back. My husband and I were appalled by the owners, and how rude and miserable they were. Sorry for the long post, but I feel any family visiting should be aware of this, especially during a pandemic! Stray far away from this campground. You will be disappointed...

Read moreWorst campground we’ve ever stayed at! You should be allowed to rate zero stars! There were eight of us all together...3 RV sites and one cabin rental for 4 days 3 nights. We had one more guest that was going to stay in the RV but could not make it up until Saturday. When she arrived they would not let her in, saying that she was a visitor and if she wanted to go in she had to rent a site. When trying to explain she was staying the rest of the time in the RV the owners started to get angry and said they were following regulations and they were losing money.....mind you they were NOT following regulations as they were at about a 90% capacity rate, sites were not spaced out to every other site, MULTIPLE out of state non seasonal patrons were in the campground, and bath houses were open, so they were NOT following regulations at all so when we started to mention this the owner was sitting behind the desk working on something he threw whatever it was slammed his hands on the table and stood up and started angrily saying no exceptions! She had driven two hours to get there so instead of her turning back around we had to rent a tent site so she could be allowed in!!!! (Mind you we were willing to pay the extra guest fee). Place is a total joke, extremely unprofessional and the worst customer service-anger issues when you’re trying to run a customer based business-classy! Stay far away from...
