I stayed there years ago. 1 night. It was great. Today the surrounding communities are dealing with a tragedy. We had massive flooding Saturday it on every network. Babies were swept away from this massive flood. People have died, still missing, lost homes, bussines vehicles all gone. People can't work because of the clean up going in and most roads are blocked or not able to drive on because of damage. So many have reached out to help each other. Here in the town I live in its 8 miles from the hit area. So we are a safe haven now for people to come to for shelter. This hotel has jacked the prices up. They ha e refused 4 people and turned then away because 4 was to many for 1 room. A mom and her children. People have prepaid for rooms for any one seeking refuge. They are going from $59.00 to $119.00 a night. $15.00 per kid and $30.00 per pets. Or higher. They are taking advantage of these people who have nothing left and from death and loss. This is not the first time they have turned thier backs on our small town when others needed help. The other hotels are opening up to any one. We understand the legal part of how many can be in a room. But in this tragedy and you turn away a mom and her kids!!! I pray you all never have to face what others are going through. We are to help one another and what this place is doing is WRONG! #WAVERLYSTRONG "Do unto others as you would have them...
Read moreThe best thing was they allowed my dog to stay with me during an extended stay w them due to a total loss due to a house fire destroying our home. Mrs. Sonya was the most pleasant and truly caring staff ever. But she is a school teacher and she left as soon as school started back.. After that my room was never cleaned by any staff and new foreign owners took over and it became totally impossible to stay there. They would knock on my door demanding to know if I had any visitors and imposed a limit of only one guest to visit me at a time. They would call my room and ask if I had guests and threatened calling the police. I rarely had any guests but when I did they would meet them at my door and interrogate them or demand they leave or wld call po po. Rudest, nastiest, snoops all thru ur room anytime they would think u were gone. I happen to surprise them once sitting on my bed as they walked in without any knock etc...drug activity and stealing was common amongst workers... Nosey,...
Read moreI had a friend coming to town, so I booked a night at Deerfield Inn. Since this is in a very small town, I wasn't expecting the room to be so pleasant. The owner at the front desk was very friendly and had exactly what I reserved. I checked in with no problems and I had a special request to have an additional chair for the "in room" desk as we planned to eat in and wanted to eat at the table. He had the chair in my room before I even walked in it. The King Room was roomy, smelled and looked very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Since we were hanging out in the room, it was nice that the TV had a good quality picture and sufficient channels to choose from. The price was very reasonable as well. I will definately recommend Deerfield to family...
