This was probably the worst experience I've ever had staying at any hotel or motel. We felt lucky to find a room for cheap so last minute close to the day of the solar eclipse. We weren't expecting much based on the price. It ended up being way worse than even our low expectations. The rooms are old which I can deal with but what I had a very hard time with was the filth. The carpet appeared to have never been cleaned. It had multiple stains and it felt greasy and crusty at the same time. We kept our shoes on at all times. We had our three little kids with us and it was impossible for them to understand that the floor was dirty and not to let their blankets and pillows touch it. So gross! The bathroom shower also looked like it had never been cleaned. I found multiple hairs all over in it. I seriously considered wearing flip flops in the shower. The worst part of all was the beds. The room we were in had two double beds and they were both well past the time for replacement. Saggy on just one side so it felt like you were sleeping on a small hill. The comforter and matching pillow cases appeared to never have been cleaned at all. They were thrown in the corner for the duration of our stay as there was no way we were going to use them. We found a very questionable looking stain (think semen) on one of the sheets right away that led me to believe that the sheets had not been changed since the last guest. They were good enough to come change out the sheets on that bed for us. The smell in the room was so strong that I couldn't sleep the first night. It smelled like dirty person had hot boxed themselves in the room for a month. The next day we bought an air freshener for the room and that seemed to help. My parents met us there the day after we arrived. They were supposed to stay two nights but they chose to leave a day early because their room was gross and smelly as well. When we got home I washed everything in hot water because nothing felt clean. I came home with many bug bites as well which led me to think there may have been bed bugs although I did not see any. The one positive thing I can say is that the front desk staff is friendly. I would never recommend this motel to...
Read moreThe rooms here were clean and the staff was super nice. Coffee shop owned by the hotel management was always delicious. The 3 major things that kept me from giving 5 stars. 1. Even though air conditioning was listed as an amenity, there was none to be found in our room. It got super hot. The first night we tried using wet washcloths to stay cool, but to no avail. The second night we drove into nearby McCall to look for an electric fan to buy, but couldn't find one so we had to sleep with ice packs to keep from roasting. Would like to suggest to management to perhaps provide fans for guests and to take air conditioning off list of amenities and perhaps lower the price for rooms without it if you have some that do have it and some that don't. 2. Wi-Fi was awful, at least in our room which was farthest away from the office. We wound up having to use our phones as hot spots and paying for extra data. 3. Even though the motel was mostly empty save for 2 or 3 other guests, we were all placed together which provided for noisy nights. It would have been nice for the guests to have been spread out a little so everyone had a quieter stay. It also meant that the parking spot directly in front of our room kept being taken by guests of our next door neighbors. Since our room was on the corner, there was nowhere else for us to park and I am disabled. Thankfully my husband was with me so he could move the car as needed, but if I had been alone, I'm not sure what I would have done. All in all, I would probably stay here again, but I would bring my own fan and request a room closer...
Read moreWorking construction for a couple years on the road I have stayed at more than a couple motels, I can say this one has been the trashiest. The staff is super nice and helpful so I have no complaint about that side of things, but the room... What a dump. In many facets of life you get what you pay for, this motel demonstrates that very well. $50 a night doesn't get you much more than a hot shower and roof over your head. I stayed approximately 6 nights, my first night I killed 6 spiders coming out of the separating drywall. The shower has a drain with no cover so you are constantly trying not to step in the 4" clogged drain hole as you shower. The room was never cleaned in the 6 nights I stayed and soap/towels were not replenished nightly. The stained carpet had about 100 different lengths and colors of hair on it and there were fingernail clipping at the foot of the bed. I won't be coming back for any reason other than complete desperation, if you can go without a hot shower you would be more comfortable sleeping in your car.
EDIT: I have seen the companies response to my negative review, but would like to point out that these guys have all my contact information and have yet to reach out to me. I question their sincerity in the response and doubt they replied for any reason other than to sway...
