The Intersection BBQ, Bar & Grill — Restaurant in New Meadows

Really great bbq- we tried a variety of meats and sides and all were good. Prices on par w/other bbq spots.

3 stars for the service. Took about 15 minutes for someone to come to our table. From there another 15 minutes for drinks, and then we waited about 40 minutes for food. By the time someone took our food order, the kitchen had run out of ribs. Two tables seated about 15 minutes after us got ribs due to their order being taken in a timely manner. The waitstaff was clearly hustling and working- but they were inefficient and it sounds like maybe the kitchen was struggling to keep up. Our waitress was a nice woman, who was a little older, but said she was new and maybe needs some assistance or more training? The owner did come up and apologize for the wait.

3 stars for ambiance. Cute restaurant, but there was a woman at the bar yelling constantly and dropped several f bombs. Either you’re a bar or a family restaurant. Can’t be both when people are trying to enjoy a nice meal with their families.

My husband and I went to the Intersection Bbq restaurant for dinner tonight. I ordered off of the bbq platter side, not the bbq plate side. I ordered the 2 meat combo 1/2 brisket and 1/2 Rack of Baby Back Ribs. In the picture I did eat some of the brisket I did NOT eat any of the ribs. I asked to speak to the Owner. Now mind you when ever we go to a barbecue place I always get baby back ribs so I know what a half a rack looks like and this isn’t it! She took my platter back to the kitchen, stupid me I thought she was going to get me the rest of my order but NO she had the audacity to tell me that my 3 Bone ribs should have only been 2 bones! What?? Are you kidding me?? Then she tells me that in the 12 years that they have been serving this meal this way that I’m the ONLY one to ever question it! Yeah right! First of all, to any drivers reading this, there is truck parking all around right on the side of the highway.

I love barbeque and it is my go to choice wherever we are in the country so believe me when I say the meat here was EXCELLENT. But beyond the meat, everything else was excellent as well. The bacon wrapped jalapenos were perfect with a spicy cream cheese filling, the coleslaw was fresh and handmade, the mac and cheese was handmade also and delicious and the ranch spuds are certainly worth a try.

Aside from the food, the atmosphere was very friendly and comfortable, the service was prompt and friendlyand the decor is pretty cool. I highly recommend this if you're passing through town, I stopped on a whim and plan on being...
