Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gibson — Hotel in New Milford Township

When we arrived at the hotel front desk we were greeted by a friendly and helpful front desk staff person. She checked us right in and provided us with all the answers to our questions (directions, restaurant options in the area and a breakfast menu). Additionally she offered us, especially my young daughter, candy, cookies and beverages free of charge. My daughter was thrilled, lol.

Upon check in to our room, although it appeared immaculately clean there was a horrible odor in the air. The hotel staff did there utmost to handle the issue by offering us another room or providing us with a machine to absorb the odor. We chose to try the machine and as well the housekeeping staff sprayed the room with an air freshener. We left the room for a few hours to allow the machine to do its job, however upon return, the room smell had not lessened. I spoke to the front desk staff who were very apologetic and offered us another room immediately. This room was fabulous and met our needs. Additionally, the bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have slept in at a hotel.

At check out, graciously the front desk staff credited us $25.00 for the inconvenience of having to move rooms. Over all this experience was an excellent one and we plan to make reservations next year when we go to visit our daughter again at sleep away camp.

I recommend this hotel without any reluctance and give it five stars for excellent...

I'm absolutely shocked when I saw I haven't left a review for this Holiday Inn. I cannot express enough just how welcoming, friendly, sincere, kind and accommodating they are, especially Tina and Nancy. My husband travels frequently for his job and stays at many different hotels. No other places can compare to the exceptional service you receive from everyone that works there! When our kids and I come to visit, Tina and Nancy always remember me (my name) and our kids. It's like you're seeing a friend! The hotel and rooms are clean, comfortable and the breakfast is great! One time we arrived in the middle of the night and woke up late the next morning. When the kids and I went down for breakfast they had already closed. But they made me and my children some hot food and did it with a smile. You experience the difference because the people take pride in what they do and actually care. I can't believe it's considered a 2-star level hotel! I'm not sure what Google bases that on, but there's no comparison. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10...

I was meeting someone in the next town over to buy a puppy from a breeder, and she recommended this hotel.

It's an excellent hotel! The staff is smart, efficient, friendly. The staff is excellent. They make the place extra special. Wow.

The place is pristine-clean. Everywhere! Everything felt up to date and wonderful and clean clean clean!

After the wonderful vegetarian-friendly breakfast, I went up in the elevator. A man was scrubbing the floor. It looked clean to me before that! They definitely attend to all the small details regularly that most of us don't think about.

I would like to recommend that they consider getting 1 more door mat for inside the doors for people to wipe their feet on. I tracked in some water from the rain and then promptly felt bad for the gentleman who scrubs the elevator floor and wonders why it gets so bad so quickly.

That's the only thing I can think of that would improve this hotel; and it would help the STAFF!
