Rock Inn — Hotel in New Rockford

Wow. This place is fantastic! I was expecting a "small town grungy motel" type of deal, I'm in the middle of nowhere in North Dakota of all places, right?? This is easily the NICEST hotel/motel/inn I have EVER stayed in, and I've been travelling for work for a few years. I kid you not, the Queen of England could stay here.

The beds are very comfortable. The pillows are wonderfully soft. Not a single lump in any pillow at all. The kitchenette is fully stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, cups, plates, cutlery, etc. There is a full size fridge in each room. There's a cooktop as well. The bathroom is massive, clean, and well stocked. The room's HVAC unit is modern with the ability to have a constant fan (something I always enjoy for background noise at night). No rattles in the unit either. The guest laundry is free to use (I ended up using my own detergent and dryer sheets, so I cannot say if those are available or not).

The attention to detail and the cleanliness in the entire facility is incredible. The reception area is decorated nicely with fall decorations. Everything is clean, no muddy footprints or anything like that. It looks like it was set up for a magazine photoshoot. It's perfect.

The little welcome sign in the reception area sums up the entire place perfectly. This feels like an extension of someone's home. You can tell that the owners take pride in this place, and I would gladly stay here again. If I could give 10 stars for this...

The rooms are large, extremely clean and are furnished nicely. The kitchenette is great - you wouldn’t want to cook a huge meal but’s just right for heating up food on the stovetop or in the microwave and there’s a large fridge. The bathroom is very clean and stocked with towels and there are dispensers providing hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Rooms are outstanding appliances, (full size refrigerator, microwave, stove top, and sink), also a washer and dryer by the office that is available as well! My Mother in-law and I had a traumatic incident at the Minneapolis International Airport involving an escalator. Needless to say we both received serious injuries. The owners of the hotel were very understanding and helped in any way they could. The next time we fly back we will definitely stay at the Rock Inn! A+ A+...
