We rented a cabin/cottage for 2 people and had a relaxing five days at the Kalispel RV Resort.||There is no housekeeping, which was fine by us, but if you needed anything, it was just a phone call away.||The cabins are clean and have both heat and air conditioning so no matter the weather you will always be comfortable. The cabin consisted of a living room with a sofa bed couch and small tables, that folded out of the way. There was a small kitchenette that had cutlery, crockery, etc as well as a microwave, electric skillet and a coffee maker. There is no stove, but we had our own BBQ so that was not an issue. There is a bathroom with a shower only and a bedroom with a queen bed. The bed was so comfy there was no reason to not get a good nights sleep.||The small deck at the front of the cabin had a seat for two and a small table. At the side of the cabin was a firepit and a picnic table, both of which we made good use of.||We did not do any gambling, but we did eat at the Wetlands Restaurant and it did not disappoint. They have a prime rib special on Thursday that we can recommend.||The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the area and are willing to help you.||You book in at the Marketplace which went smoothly. The Marketplace also has everything you could need and I am sure if you forgot something, they would have it.||We did not use it, but we were told there is a laundromat on site as well.||The grounds are well maintained and kept very clean, with staff picking up garbage/cigarette butts, etc on a regular basis.||The cabins are on the lot furthest from the main road and if you have an RV, there are three lanes to choose from. No pull through sites and all have fire pits.||It was nice to have a gas station on site, especially if you have off-road vehicles, as you can drive right up.||We are planning on going back again sometime before the snow flies, for...
Read moreIf you want peaceful place to stay we can recommend the Kalispel Casino and RV Resort. In May we stayed in one of the cabins for 2 people and we were not disappointed. The cabin was cute, clean, and had everything you need. There is no stove, but there is a microwave and an electric frying pan. We had our bbq as well which helped with the cooking. Outside there was a chair and a table on the small deck which we made good use of in the evenings.
The cabins have air conditioning and heat so there is no excuse to be uncomfortable. While there is no housekeeping services, which suited us just fine, you can get more towels, coffee, etc. by visiting the Marketplace or by giving them a call. The wifi worked great for everything we needed.
All the cabins have outdoor firepits and picnic tables that we can recommend using. You can buy wood from the Marketplace.
The food at the restaurant was very good, especially the chicken fingers and the prime rib. We did learn that one meal was big enough to share between two people and that the smaller portions were big enough to satisfy your hunger.
The staff in all areas were knowledgeable and were happy to pass on information to you.
It was nice having a gas station on-site and if you get the Camas card you get a gas discount.
As non smokers we appreciated that inside all the building were non smoking. The entire property is kept neat and tidy and while there is no smoking inside they provide outside ashtrays at each of the cabins and at the casino, for those that do smoke.
We spent most of our days outside exploring but it was nice to come back to the cabins. We will definitely be going back...
Read moreMost things are good here. Clean, well manicured sites, and constant attention from maintenance folks. Can't beat the nightly rate. There are a few hiccups, though, and some of them are head-scratchin'. While every site is FHU, not everyone (us!) connect water/sewer, so proximately of the bathroom facilities is important. You have two options: an actual roadside rest area hundreds of yards away; and, the tribal market hundreds of yards away. But when the market is closed, you only have the other option after hours. In situations like this, we do have Lunderg liners for our commode, if nature calls faster than a marathon walk to the facilities will allow. Another issue is how unlevel the tarmac site pads are. We did all we could with what we had, and it wasn't enough. Not a deal breaker though. Like their sister property in Airway Heights WA (Northern Quest), there are a lot of rules and restrictions on tribal property. But again, not something that would cause us not to return. I'm no gambler, but the Wifey reported their slots were tight, and she's smart enough to bail on losing after $40. It sickens me to write that, but she works hard, and if she gets a little enjoyment out of that, so be it. I must mention, the entire staff of the casino, market, and RV maintenance staff were all happy and friendly, and boy that goes a long...
