With Covid crisis looming, and a need to have a safe change of scenery, we thought we’d take a drive up from Hot Springs, AR and stay socially distanced while enjoying sone fishing. I had been forewarned that the river may be high and running fast. A referral from my brother brought us to meet Jim and Liz at River Ridge. Our ‘cabin’ was a full house with master king bed downstairs in addition to a beautiful sleep lift upstairs as well as a fold out futon in the master bedroom. Our deck provided a gas and a charcoal grill. The neat view of the river and the fishing dock was gorgeous and although we caught zero fish, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on the gorgeous grounds. The place was immaculate, extremely comfortable and Jim very helpful with fishing tips (we are both novices).||A lot of privacy complimented by the rushing river and changing fog below. We hope to travel back and learn some new tricks if there’s room for us in the fall. I understand corporate retreats take place here at The River Ridge Flyfishing Academy. Thoroughly recommend!! Great time. Many thanks to our lovely host...

We felt like it was Inappropriate to be in our unit both while we were there and while we were away,||** after talking with the owner I think this was just a misunderstanding after a horrible storm. The owners wife did tell the members of our party that they could stay in the bottom unit because they has slept in the beds during the storm. They thought it meant for the duration of our stay. We would never have stayed there otherwise. I think it would have been nice if we had been told that they needed to come in the unit to do laundry and to get household items for the other unit. Again, just a misunderstanding and lack of communication. We loved the Lodge and hope to return there on our next visit. It really was an exceptional...
Read moreWe’ve been coming to this lovely resort for years. We knew Jim and Liz before they retired. Each of the cute venues are super clean, organized, and come complete with gas or charcoal grills. The grounds are covered with beautiful plants and flowers. Your view is of the Norfork River. If you’re an angler it’s a 20 minute drive to Rim Shoals access and about a 40 minute drive to Wildcat. You’re 5 minutes away from the village of Norfork with a cute coffee shop, pizza...
