CAMPERS BEWARE!! Pulled in early, 11am on a Sunday, the office was closed - we were prepaid & already checked in online & our assigned site was empty. The camp “manager” (don’t make the mistake of asking if he’s the camp “host”) told us check in is 1 but he’d “go ahead and let us stay this time.” He said the office was closed because he “had a late night.” We never saw the office open our entire stay. There are a lot of full time residents with cluttered/junky sites. They yell at you if you drive near their loop and also when you’re around the office area, as well as when you’re throwing trash in the bins (we didn’t use the laundromat as residents harass you). The camp manager does not have the temperament to professionally handle the park residents. He’s hostile and unfriendly as well - his wife did apologize to us and said “it’s been handled”when we shared how the residents were aggressive toward us. At one point, the camp manager and a resident were yelling “shut the F up and go inside” to each other. The manager said he’s “been meaning to hang signs so the in/out campers don’t go near/use the part of the campground with full time residents-clearly they know they have a problem (btw, the dump is on the Loop of full time residents, so you’ll need to tolerate their aggression during this chore, or find another place to dump your tanks). It’s a very unwelcoming place, and it got to the point where we didn’t feel comfortable in the campground. We dreaded going to our RV at night after spending our days exploring the surrounding trails/area. We have been park hosts ourselves and would NOT recommend this campground, especially if you have children..

This is the most phenomenal camping experience I've had and I've only been here 6 nights counting tonight! I'm working in Portland and had to get out of the hotel rat race. I tried a couple campgrounds in Oregon and wasn't feeling it. I came to Lewis and Clark on a whim and WOW! BEST DECISION I COULD HAVE MADE! The hosts Marilyn and Pat were very accommodating and friendly. They set me up in a stunning tent spot right off the creek with power and water. A trail counting 22 steps leads from my site to the creekside. Surrounded by trees and perfectly breezy. The maintenance/ landscaper/ goes by "Bird" and is a beaming spirit! He has been Extremely helpful to me... lending me a hand with a few supplies being I'm camping out of the blue pretty much. Teaching me about trenching the area for rain and he even gave me some epic pieces of petrified wood and Jasper! The fire pits are creatively made from stones he carried from the creek also!! They have all done phenomenal work to make this a Paradise in my humble and grateful opinion! The ancient forests here carry a deep profound energy that moves you physically and spiritually which will inspire you to ponder the beginnings of our existence!

This is a homeless camp campground - BEWARE! We were told there was WIFI absolutely not. The campsites had weeds growing, clearly a sign of not maintained. We had to sign 3 forms regarding rules and yet there were drugs ALL OVER. The managers were nice- Thankfully ! Our campsite was smack dab in the middle of the folks that live here. We could NOT get out trailer into the site. It was way too small. We arrived and Kim had us go to a different site, yet again in the middle of the homeless camps. The sites for the permanent residents are disgusting! We saw 2 residents going across the street to a trailer- very shady behavior. At night there was drug activity, we could see and hear them. My son and I had to stay here alone for 7 hours the day we arrived. We were scared. Bring some sort of protection. The camper next to us, a resident has 6 cats. Not well cared for- it’s sad. WAY OVER PRICED AND the pictures online do not represent what it looks like. Broken recliner out front of one trailer. It’s absolutely UNACCEPTABLE to me to have us drive 3.5 hours to get here and have it look sub- par!|We should have A FULL REFUND for this !!! We were told “full hook ups” are for the residents- we couldn’t believe it. We reserved a full hook up site that had sunshine,we got a site that faces a warehouse. It was full hook up but just felt so awkward with all the dugs.|We had our son with us and he had some many questions regarding all the people wandering in and out - clearly doing drug deals. |We don’t get to travel much and were greatly looking forward to this- it’s sad how unsafe we felt. I’m sure at one time this was a beautiful campground. I hope the Owner sees this and the emails I will be sending. I’m beyond upset about this. The trains operate a lot we didn’t mind it but just be aware of them. In the 5 days we were there over 100 times the...

Wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you don’t have any other options. Have stayed at many campgrounds in Washington and this was by far the worst I have experienced. Pros: proximity to local attractions, has bathrooms and showers (we didn’t use them so can’t speak to their quality). Bathrooms are ok, not clean but not the worst I’ve ever seen. Management seems friendly but didn’t interact with them much, we pretty much kept to ourselves.

Cons: pretty much everything else. Should have been a red flag that every other campsite was fully booked except this one. If you stay here, you should know this campground has many permanent residents who think they own the place and absolutely harass campers. We were followed to our campsite multiple times by a “resident” who threatened us (we were only there 2 nights, have no kids, kept to ourselves and followed all rules, not to mention were gone all day exploring so I have no idea what this guys’ problem was, someone who just wanted to start a fight). Also be aware that this site is right next to train tracks, and trains run constantly, even overnight (11 pm, midnight, 2 am, etc). Not something that management can do anything about, but just know that you will hear them constantly. Mostly just avoid this place if you want to enjoy a nice weekend, the residents here are awful and not worth dealing with. Don’t waste...
