Sometimes you just need to get away and relax in comfort for a few nights...if a Bed n Breakfast is your preferred weekend getaway, I really recommend "1824 Inn Bed and Breakfast!" Located in the area surrounding Hershey, Pa, many places of interest can fill your daily activities during your stay. The Inn is easily accessible from a driving standpoint with a short ride from the Pa turnpike. Arrival and check in are very warm and friendly as staff and or the owners will greet you and get you settled in to this charming establishment. The ability to just ease into this lovely BnB throughout its' very neatly decorated property is exceptional. From a mix of public rooms to the friendly and warm outside deck areas you will find comfort and warm surrounds. An additional and lovely feature located here would be the incredible garden areas with alcoves to sit and unwind or just enjoy the views from each of the thoughtful seating areas. All the comforts related to self service coffee and tea along with a sprinkling of snacks and soft drinks are easily made available to the guests in the spacious breakfast area. Breakfast of course could be described by me as country with a zest for flavor. Both mornings served up tasteful delights along with fresh fruits and a well prepared main dish. Prepared with much care, you will not go hungry! I wish I had come to know the 1825 Inn sooner, my only regret that I hope to soon satisfy soon again!! I really recommend this business if visiting the area and you wish to find comfort in a warm and friendly BnB. A very refreshing and...
Read moreWe were in town for an annual pet grooming Expo at the Hershey Lodge. The house is super charming for starters. The covered deck and grounds are gorgeous. It’s especially magical at night! We stayed in the Sycamore room for 2 nights. The bed was cozy and the sheets were very high quality. Each room has its own bathroom and thermostat, which is a luxury that a lot of B&Bs don’t have. I was thrilled to find a small fan under the bathroom sink, as I am not able to sleep well without the sound. They have many channels to choose from should you want to watch tv, including Starz. The breakfast is heavenly! The main breakfast dishes did not disappoint. I follow a plant based diet and they were happy to give me a variety of fruit instead of meat. There are always snacks and drinks available as well. Oh and candy all over the place, because you’re in Hershey PA! I could also appreciate their “Green” efforts with motion sensor lights when you walked through the main rooms. They have an EV charging station as well. That’s something that many hotels don’t even have yet. Don and Ellen are truly living and working their dream. You can see how much pride they take in the comfort of their guests. We will be staying here every year...
Read moreThis place is marvelous! I was looking for places that weren't chain hotels, wanting to try something new. The inn is located in a beautiful area of Hershey, I would say around 3 or 4 miles away from Hershey Park. It's an old but perfectly maintained 19th century farmhouse, run by a wonderful married couple. You can feel and see the good taste in every square meter of the place, where you find a thousand vintage details. Often in this type of accommodation, you receive more personalized treatment, and we more or less expected something like that, but the warmth and attention to detail we received truly surprised us.
I remember that one night, my daughters stayed in their room watching a movie, and we went downstairs to have coffee and chat on the house’s terrace. It was a bit chilly, but oddly enough, next to the armchairs were some decorative wooden boxes with beautiful blankets inside. The scene of that moment—the two of us sipping coffee, talking, with our blankets warming us—felt very special. And I think that’s what 1825 Inn Bed & Breakfast is all about: giving you the warmth of home, surrounded by details and...
