We stayed 2 nights total here. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Once entering the hotel, the staff at the front desk was so nice and helpful. The lobby was clean & staff was friendly. It's a 4 floor hotel. We stayed on floor 3. The first night there, the people above us on floor 4 was so noisy. Not sure if they had children or what, but we heard feet consistently going back and forth across the floors so much that we had to let the front desk know about the noise. So my suggestion is if u stay, stay on the 4th floor due to this hotel has wooden floors. Beautiful rooms and has the world's best shower ever. My favorite part of the room was the shower!! The next day we had a complimentary breakfast that was really good. They had sausage links and scrambled eggs for the hot food as well as an awesome pancake maker to play around with. They had so much breakfast items to choose from, which I very much liked. They had the same items the second day we stayed as well. I over heard another customer say that she thought the scrambled eggs were a little salty & were instant or boil in bag eggs. I thoughtthey tastedfine however. I liked it all especially the sausage links. When we left to go out our second day and apon coming back, we thought our rooms were going to be cleaned. This was not the case. They did however bring clean towels & took the trash out. We noticed there was hair on the bathroom floor which did not belong to us. I am just glad I brought with us Lysol wipes to clean our bathroom. Our body wash was completely ran out in the shower so in place of giving us a brand new bottle, the front desk just gave us bar soap, which was fine. My first initial reaction upon getting there on the first day was wow this hotel is awesome. Though by the time we left, that easily changed due to the noise, hair on the bathroom floor, some of the bathroom tile was even falling off & just the beds not being remade. Don't get me wrong, they took the trash out and gave more towels, but that was it. All for I think it was for $200.00 a night. It just made no sense to me that if u pay that much money on a room, they could have at least cleaned it for us!!!But then again it might be there covid restrictions policy that they don't do that anymore!!. Overall, a very lovely hotel, nice staff and great food. However, we probably will not pick this hotel again if we come back to Hershey, kinda disappointing because it's such a beautiful hotel and staff was so friendly. But the small things do matter too,...
Read moreWe stayed at the Best Western Plus in Hershey Pennsylvania in February of 2024. The room was very clean and new. It reminded me of staying at one of the Hilton Express chains. The floors were tile with a little piece of carpet. Which seems a lot better for cleanliness. Our room was a king bed with a nice little couch. We pulled back the cushions to see if it was a pullout couch and I looks like it was. We did not sleep on pull out but it was nice that it was available. The couch and coffee table were nice to use to set up a game or just relax. I was surprised at the size of the small fridge it was bigger than the usual under the counter fridge. The room was very spacious and had lots of corners for bags and luggage. I did see several dogs in the hotel which always surprises me, but everything was super clean so I didn't smell any animals and I didn't hear any barking. I have only once traveled across the country with our dog and it was hard to find places that took animals. The pool was small but indoors and their were families enjoying the pool the nights that we checked on the pool. I did not see a hot tube. The breakfast was really nice. It is always nice to not have to run around in the morning to find breakfast. They had an amazing yogurt with tons of toppings that I had both mornings we stayed. They have a really nice coffee and hot chocolate station that stays open. It was cold outside when we came in for the evening and we both made a hot chocolate to take up to our rooms. Very nice touch. The sign as you pull in says Best Western Plus with Red Roof below. I was horrified because I had a really bad experience at a red roof and will never stay there again. There is another motel across the parking lot so I don't know if that is the Red Roof or why the sign says both. The hotel didn't have any signage that it was associated with Red Roof inside. So I have no idea why the sign has both names. Maybe the parking lot is for both. Anyway don't be dismayed when you pull in the room are great and I have nothing negative to say about our experience. I would...
Read moreMy husband & I stayed here a few weeks ago after his discharge from hospital after aggressive cancer treatment. Hospital required we stay near hospital for a few weeks because we live too far away. Room was handicapped accessible & staff brought us a shower chair because he was a fall risk. The only issue was they accommodate a lot of young kids involved in local sporting events. We had a wrestling team above us that must have practiced in the room; white noise machine was necessary! I was back in this same hotel this week because husband was having memory issues due to sodium level. I informed hotel staff I was taking it one day at a time & was extending my stay one night at a time based on my husband’s condition in hospital. Yesterday, during one of the most stressful days so far when I found out he was still forgetting significant events about our life, I called hotel to extend my stay. They told me they couldn’t accommodate me. I have never had to leave a hotel I was already in. I told them I didn’t want to leave hospital to come pack up my things because I’d miss my husband’s oncologist visit; they come only once a day. They extended my check out time by one hour. I am constantly reminded that I am a “Diamond” member; we have spent thousands of dollars at Best Western for hospital visits, NOT pleasure! I have yet to earn a free night, but I do get a free bottle of water as a “Diamond” member…wow thanks!! However, I did get kicked out my room while my husband was still unstable & replaced by a baseball team. I didn’t get the courtesy of a staff person who knew my situation letting me know that I should book through the weekend to keep my room; I was told “it was my responsibility “. Because I don’t have enough on my plate. It took awhile, but I did find another BW 15 minutes away for a better price & they booked me for one week but are only charging me 2 days at a time to help me out. Thank you,...
