When I called FROM THE GOOGLE NUMBER, I was sent to a "call center" apparently, where I was NOT informed that my card was to be billed the morning of check in, prior to my arrival and without signing any paperwork. I was not given any information during reservation or asked about applying discounts. Every other hotel experience I have had, the card is kept on file, and after signing the agreement, it is charged. This hotel did NOT do it this way. My intentions were to place the bill on a different card upon arrival (which I successfully and frequently do elsewhere). My account is STILL on hold, keeping bills from being paid even though it was "returned to my card" 3 days ago. The pool is VERY small, 4ft at its deepest and the chlorine was SO strong it made your eyes burn just being in the pool room; No need to get in the pool to experience this. There were no signs in the pool room as to where dirty towels went so people were putting them in the bottom drawer of the shelves for the clean towels and there was a basket like thing where I assume the dirty ones were supposed to go. Front desk was rude and impatient, claiming they had no clue who took my reservation. My room was NOT what was explained to me during reservation. I was told that my jacuzzi tub would be in the bathroom and not directly in the room. It was directly in the room. The room was clean, and so was the tub. There was a bidet with zero instructions on how to use it. I looked up online a tutorial and attempted to use it. Aweful experience. The spray on the bidet was sharp and aggressive no matter how low you made the pressure. It sprayed everywhere even when seated due to this. The drain for the bidet was paper thin thus making it impossible to rid of larger particles. The shower was also a sharp aggressive spray and the water temp changed frequently. If you wanted to use the soap or shampoo that is mounted to the wall at the shower or sink while using the jacuzzi, you had to get up and out to aquire a few squirts OR fight the bottles off the wall and bring them with you. The bathroom offered no towels close to the bidet, so if you forgot, good luck. The bathroom had the mini fridge which I found unsanitary, and provided 1 makeup remover pad and a shower cap, as well as tissues. The sink and/or shower offered mounted hand/body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. The soaps smelled fantastic. Shampoo didnt seem to lather heavily but both shampoo and conditioner washed out well without excess residue. I did not use the lotion. The bathroom door did not stay shut when closed. The latch would not hold. The mirror had a sign on it explaining that excessive noise after midnight would result in front desk and state police entering the room and escorting you off property. (There was nothing about a warning phonecall kindly asking for the volume to be lowered) Room had desk but no mini pad of paper or pen. The glass on top of the false fireplace slid off VERY easily and was a hazard. The TV was mounted so tightly and so close to the wall that getting my HDMI cord plugged in was a struggle. The bed sheets kept popping off, and I had to remake the bed multiple times throughout my weekend stay. I was not doing wild acrobatics, just getting in and out of bed normally. The sheets barely gripped to the underneath of the matress corners which was NOT sealed with a protector. The room did come with 2 complimentary bottles of water, which I was very grateful for. There is no microwave in the rooms; One must travel to the front desk area to use a communal microwave which had pieces of rice and cheese left by others. During this time (7p on a sunday) the front desk attendant was but on her phone. Napkins were not available to clean up either. Parking lot had 7 or more handicap parking spots at the main entrance and perhaps the same amount out back near the door (you needed a key to enter this one) creating a large distance to walk to any entrance if you are not a handicapped parking spot user (this made lugging items quite...
Read moreSo I have been to this hotel a bunch of times but my recent stay there I was not happy with. If you want a nice room with a hot tub in the room, tons of space, and a relaxing vibe this hotel is perfect. If you are going to Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun this is also a great location to get to any of those two places. The coffee, espresso, and custom lattes are free which is also a plus. You walk downstairs and the coffee bar is amazing and made fresh for you. However, the restaurant in the Hotel used to be very good and reasonably priced. This time around we decided to leave the casino and eat at the restaurant downstairs and then spend quality time In our suite. We get to the restaurant and order the shrimp cocktail, that was a margarita glass filled to the top with cocktail sauce and 6 shrimp. The shrimp was not fresh and did not taste that great. Moving along, we ordered the bruschetta which says fresh mozzarella. When that arrived it was toasted baguette slices, with chopped tomatoes l, red onions and what looked like shredded Kraft cheese. Not at all what advertised. At this point I was curious to see what the main course was going to look like. I ordered the salmon, fresh veggies and rice. My husband ordered the chicken parmigiana, thinking how can you go wrong. The meals come to the table and after taking one bite of the chicken parmigiana you can tell it was clearly not cooked all the way through. The meat was chewy, slimy and honestly disgusting. My husband immediately spit the chicken out of his mouth. He asked me to look through the chicken to make sure he wasn’t mistaken about what he thought, however when I took a bite it was clear the meat was not cooked through. At that point we spoke to the waitress politely about the situation, she then went back to the cook and told him. When she came back to the table she expressed how the cook was upset and angry, and how he wanted to leave and had turned the grill oven off for the night. She asked if we wanted to order something else, and she took the chicken parmigiana off the bill and that the Chief should do his job. At that point I knew to immediately ask for the check and politely decline begging the chef to stay. At the end of the whole dinner experience we also Witnessed the angry disgruntled chief leaving and looking very aggravated. We did pay the bill , which again they did take the dish off but my husband still did not eat. When asked if we wanted to order a sandwich from the hotel we declined as we didn’t trust who would be handling the food after the raw meat experience. At the end of the day this Hotel is a great place to relax, but do not eat at the restaurant downstairs it’s awful. The bill came out to almost a hundred dollars and for what was presented it was not even worth fifty...
Read moreHonestly the worst hotel stay my family and I have ever experienced. Upon arrival we were given key cards to a room that was either still being used, or not yet cleaned from someone else's visit. Trash everywhere, bedsheets and blankets all over the floor. We were horrified, but figured it was an innocent mistake and we would give it a chance. Once we were given an alternative room, it was still noticeably dirty like it hadn't been vacuumed, there was no toilet paper in the room, and there were several stains all over the bathroom floor. We felt uneasy in the room, but if both rooms had a 0% success rate, we didn't bother trying for a third. The final straw was when my mom stepped on a dirty piece of glass next to our bed, that was covered in burnt ash. Luckily we had a first aid kit and were able to thoroughly sterilize the cut, but after bringing this up to the front desk (It was 10:30PM), the lady at the desk said they don't handle that on her shift, and that we need to wait until the AM to bring it up to them so they can properly handle it. The lady in the AM took the incident report, and said someone would be in touch with us shortly. After over a week of not hearing anything, the manager finally left us a voicemail, a very unprofessional one at that, telling us details of his Mexico trip (like drinking Mexican water ??? ) as an excuse for not reaching out sooner. He then went to offer us a "covered" stay at his Hilton hotel that was even closer to the landmark we were previously visiting, and said he would give us a King size room, and that he would buy us drinks and food, made it sound great. Then later on, said we have to pay for the "regular price" of the stay, and that just the upgrade would be on him. We aren't exactly made of money and refused his offer, then he said he would take off 25% for one evening, we still refused. Then he went on to tell us if we reached out sooner, he would of been able to refund us and better handle it. WE WENT TO THE DESK LESS THAN 2 MINUTES AFTER THE INCIDENT. The girl straight up told us to wait until the morning, which we did. So it was pretty comical that he told us that, when he didn't know what he was talking about. Dealing with this guy, and his hotel was an absolute joke. At least he ended the conversation 'claiming' that he refunded 25% of our first night. We have yet to receive that, so we aren't holding our breath. Just be weary when you book a stay at this hotel, because if things do go wrong, you won't be accommodated or given a proper apology to all the things that...
