I finally had the chance to check out Top Shelf Cafe & Books in North Stonington, CT! I’m still daydreaming about the Godmother sandwich and the pumpkin roll I had 🤤 and did you catch those drink names?? I can’t wait to go back and try them all! If you’re looking for a place to sit back, grab a book, and a bite to eat… I can’t recommend it enough! #cteats #bookstorecafe #romantasy #booktok #creatorsearchinsights

On a very quiet weekday late morning I ordered the "Kickin Chicken" wrap to go and was...underwhelmed to say the least. The wrap is not a traditional wrap like you'd see in a burrito; rather, it was pressed into an octagon. The picture attached shows the sandwich (about 5 inches in diameter) but about 1/2 inch thick. The coleslaw cabbage overpowered any taste of chicken, it was not warmed (nor did they claim it to be), and all of the combined flavors and textures were just...not good. The accompanying chips were definitely not homemade (again, nor did they claim it to be) and the pickle was a soggy little excuse for a cucumber. For $16 with tax I expected, and hoped, for something more. Given their limited menu I understand why they charge that amount, but the money does not pay for quality. The staff was pleasant and all smiles and the interior was comfortable and pleasant, but based off this one sandwich I probably won't be returning anytime soon.

Stumbled onto this cute little spot adjacent to the hotel that I was staying in. After looking at the menu at the hotel for breakfast, I decided to venture out and see what else was in the area. Maybe about a thousand feet away was this spot, North Stonington Sandwich shop. What a cute little sandwich shop. Cozy, as if I were home. It's family owned and run by a sweet woman and her daughters. What a delight! Looking for breakfast unsuccessfully. I decided to order a grill cheese sandwich with bacon. It was delicious along with a side order of pickle and a complimentary cupcake. Had a wonderful discussion with the owner and her kids and I found them to be so pleasant. Anyway, I'm back at the hotel eating my grilled cheese with bacon and enjoying it tremendously. Highly recommend The North Stonington Sandwich shop. We'll see you again soon!

What a disappointment compared to the sandwich shop that's was located here previously. I won't be going back. There were allot of disappointments here for starters they forgot to cut one of sandwiches in half and just slammed it into the plate. We had to ask for sides of sauce for the sandwich because they had put so little on. And the chips I was expecting something at least a little elevated not a bag Lay's. The other sandwich we got simply wasn't a good flavor combination and was...
