was on a 21 day motorcycle trip west. Stayed here on the way out with no issues. I cancelled reservation on return 2 weeks early. I had 2 rooms reserved. Hotel only cancelled 1 room. charged me for 1 night stay as a no show. The cancellation email i received only references a cancellation number. There is not any reference to the reservation number or how many room are cancelled. So as a customer there is no way of knowing this cancellation notice is for 1 room or the entire reservation. I called to request a refund and was told i need a cancellation number for each room. so i guess this is how you find out, after the fact. I requested and contacted the hotel in good faith 2 times to as for a refund. The Hotel manager would not admit it was their mistake. Again the reservation cancellation email has one cancellation number but no way to know if it is for your entire reservation or not. I ended up calling Wyndham customer service, explained it to them they pulled up my reservation (made online as 2 rooms) and cancellation email. Customer service then called the Hotel spoke to the same manager i was talking to then told me the same answer, they were refusing to refund me. Customer service then opened a case file and sent it in for review and i now have a refund check from Wyndham for the one night stay. I Had all kinds of excuses that the hotel was busy that night etc, couldn't hold the room etc, bottom line is they made a mistake only cancelled 1 of my rooms and charged me for the other. Hopfully they will revise their cancellation letter to reference a certain reservation so customers will know this. I would not recommend staying here after this experience. Wyndham corporate was great, the franchised...

We usually stay at HJ.. but with hunters in town, it was booked up. We had to bury a family member so we decided to try this one. We stayed 2 nights. We had 3 adults and 2 toddlers (2 & 3 years). We were placed on the 2nd floor even after asking for first and had to carry all luggage, portable crib and 1 kid up. Stairs and littles don't go well. Next.. the room. While the esthetic was pleasing to the eye.. within an hour our 2 yr old was pulling food (pretzels) out from the edge of the bed. Next.. he decided to open all the drawers. He found a box of titos shooters in the dresser drawer. Thankfully there was only 1 in it and was empty. (We put it back before leaving). We killed 2 ugly spiders, one that was on my 3yr old who freaked out. Then the shower... gross. Curtain was tore up barley hanging with stains all over it. Finally.. the pool looked AWESOME. Has a kid area the only goes to 8in deep. What a way to relax at a stressful time. NOPE.. it was ICE COLD. No way was anyone getting in that. Needless to say the 6hr drive there and home were probably more relaxing. If you have toddlers, you know that's a stress of its own. I'll stick with Howard Johnson.. while both are Wyndham hotels......

Overpriced for what it is. Our room was dirty, not even cleaned at all and we had made reservation 2 days in advance. But they were very nice about it and attentive and gave us a new room and a $40 discount, it was still $130 tho! ! Way overpriced for what it is. Our new room was also on the second floor with no elevator and I had a hard time since I was scheduled for a hip replacement. We checked in at 7pm but we didnt know there was no where to eat past 8pm so we had to go to the grocery store next door, it was cool they have taxidermy animals inside. The hot tub could be nice but it was very cloudy and extreme strong chemicals. The AM breakfast was out of most items including juice, coffee, water at 9:00! We asked for waffle mix but got tired of asking for every item! We were hungry since we didn't get to eat the night before. Next time I need a hotel I will drive through Nebraska or haul to soix falls which is too bad because I...

At one point, I'm sure this was a decent hotel and it still might be with a little TLC and lowering of price. We paid "new hotel" price for a Motel 6 experience. Room was a bit dirty and outdated. Exterior door had slight damage and therefore wouldn't close completely, letting in an excessive amount of outside noise. Our room also had another door leading to interior hallway that was seemingly paper thin - was awoken numerous times due to very loud ice machine. Bottom line, if I paid what it was worth - around $80-$90, I'd be leaving a 4ish star review. The fact that I paid over $150 after taxes leaves me feeling like I was taken for a ride.

Rates were good, front desk young lady with long blonde hair was helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and there were no complaints with our room. We asked for an early check-in, and she accommodated that request. An exterminator might be in order, as I killed a very large spider while entering the east door of the hotel. But it is South Dakota, and the state has worse things than spiders :-). The hot breakfast was decent, pretty much the same as most other hotels. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
