This is our first time coming to Autocamp. Everything is good but not the best. With the price, I hope it could be a little better. We stayed in the basic Airstream. It says Airstream fits 4 people, which I think is a little too small. The sofa bed can't really fit two adults. It will fit 2 adults + 2 kids or 3 adults. If you are paying this much, you would expect to be able to sleep more comfortably instead of cramping together. Everything is good inside the Airstream but you can see some wear and tear. There are 3 different air control systems in the Airstream. All of them are very noise. There are 2 heater vents. One is right next to the entrace and the other one is next to the master bedroom door. Just turn the knob, and the heater will turn on. Another heater/AC is mounted right on top of the sofa bed and we found 2 remote controls and each remote control will show different setting which is confusing. The 3rd AC/heating systme is on the ceiling with the control next to the kitchen sink. This systme is extremely loud. The bathroom is pretty big for a RV but the water pressure is not great. Also, hot water runs out after 2 showers. You will have to wait a good 30 mins before the water is hot enough. I guess if the weather is hot, this shouldn't be a problem. We didn't know this on our first night, which was rainy and cold. Two of us need to shower with warm-ish water on a cold rainy day. Personally, I think its a little horrible experience. Autocamp does not provide toothbrush. You will need to purchase it at the clubhouse or bring your own. The blanket they provide is thin. I would recommend bringing sleeping bags as a backup. Their pillow is not comfortable at all. One of the pillows stored under the sofa bed had some strange oily smell. Maybe the smell is from the storage bag under the sofa bed? There are no USB ports to charge your devices. You will need to bring your own regular plug to charge. You cannot cook inside the Airstream. You will need to do all the cooking outside. Either you bring your own grill or burner or you can use their fire pit that is right outside of the Airstream. Chopping boards, tongs, opener, grill brush, iron casket are all provided. The chopping board in our Airstream is over used. Totally recommending them to replace it. There is a small refrigerator and two small foldable tables in the closet. Clubhouse also sells charcoal and firewood. While we are there, it was raining and cold and they do not provide anything to cover you while you are cooking outside. You will have to cook unde the rain. I find this very inconvenient. When they are advertising the site as a luxury glamping, they should provide amenities where you don't get soaked while cooking outdoor. Otherwise, I might be better off just rent a RV myself and camp at a camp ground. The rental RV might have awning to prevent me from getting wet. Also, it is extremely hard to eat inside Airstream with 4 people; its very small. I see people bringing their own canopy to cook and eat outside so they dont get wet. The Airstreams are a little closer to each other. I see some reviews saying there is no privacy but I think its not too bad but it would be better if they could separate the airstreams a little more. There are a lot of cats running around. I'm not sure if the cats are stray cats or someone's pet. We see some wild turkeys running between the Airstream, which is interesting. Clubhouse offers free yoga class in the morning. I don't have an EV but I do see EV chargers onsite near the clubhouse (maybe 4 or 5 chargers). I also see a Tesla charging site in Mariposa near a local supermarket called Pioneer. The supermarket is around 10 mins drive from Autocamp. This supermarket is actually pretty big where you can also buy charcoal, fire logs, or any of your bbq/cooking needs.||Overall, we had some fun but not the best experience as what I was hoping for per their advertisement. Would I go back to try it one more time? I'm not sure yet, but if I do go back to Autocamp, I might book a cabin and see if the experience...

We had such a delightful experience at Autocamp! It was a great way to experience "camping" in Yosemite without actually having to camp in the park.

My advice to other patrons is to temper your expectations for what you are actually getting and be flexible to some of the more "camping" elements of the experience. This is not a hotel, it is glamping, so this will not match the comforts of a 5-star resort or Airbnb/apartment.

My husband and I (and our dog!) booked a premium Airstream online. We showed up and were surprised to find ample electric vehicle parking! The staff was very friendly on check in. You are not allowed to park near your Airstream/tent; instead you have to wheel your items to your individual unit using wagons. It was pouring rain when we arrived but we made the best of it.

The classic and premium Airstreams are the same accommodations, the only difference is the location. If you like quiet and privacy, I recommend the premium Airstream, it is worth the extra cost. Despite the abundance of loud families staying at Autocamp, we were so secluded up on the ridge that we didn't hear anything or anyone the entire time we were there. There was no one around us!

Since we drove from SF, we brought with us a number of the amenities that other reviewers had mentioned that Autocamp lacked. This included a hot plate, an extra pan and spatula, a knife set, an extra cutting board, a cooler, etc. We stayed for 3 nights and cooked every meal in the Airstream without issue. We were there over Christmas and it was admittedly too cold to do meaningful cooking outside on the fire pit (other than one night of s'mores).

I cannot blame Autocamp for not allowing wood fires. That is not their choice but rather the state/county. They make the best of it with the starter kits they give you, but this isn't like camping in other parts of the world where wood-burning fires are OK. The reason they likely do not provide hot plates in each unit is that the Airstream electrical breakers go off if you try to run the hot plate in addition to too many other things like the microwave, bluetooth speakers, and heaters. I imagine many of their visitors aren't capable of dealing with a flipped breaker based on some of these reviews...

The bed was super comfortable, but storage in the bedroom is admittedly limited. We didn't have any issues with our heaters or hot water, although the water pressure wasn't great (again, this is camping). The mini fridge is very small and even at the warmest setting still froze all of the food we put in there. We mostly just used our own cooler. The lodge sells bags of ice for $3.

The Airstream has a small TV in the bedroom with cable, but not one in the living area. Wifi was free and worked everywhere without issue.

The pool is heated but not appropriate to use during the winter months. We spent a limited amount of time in the club house because we preferred the privacy of our Airstream.

Autocamp itself is a 40 minute drive from the entrance to the park. We drove in two of the days without any major traffic or issues. We were required to have snow chains in the car at all times and did use them to go up to the ski area to play with our dog in the snow. 4WD with snow tires did not require chains. If you have your own car, I do not recommend the shuttle as it makes too many stops.

If you're looking for a relaxing camping experience with some extra luxury amenitites, then Autocamp is the way to go. Highly recommend for a (slightly) adventurous couple or family!

It is worth noting that during our check in and during our check out, there were really rude customers who were extremely demanding and treated the staff poorly. These are people who booked a Classic Airstream and expected to get upgraded to a Premium at no cost (um... ?) and complained about every little thing. If you're expecting an Instagram-perfect vacation coupled with your own bad attitude, just save everyone the hassle...

My wife and a few of our friends were really looking forward to this experience. We’re not campers, but do enjoy traveling the world, getting out of our comfort zone, and trying new experiences. We stumbled across autocamp while searching for glamping options, and decided to give it a go. The Yosemite site looked exactly as the photos posted online.

We had a group of four, so two of us took the tent and the other the Airstream just to get a feel of both. The hard product was great for a glamp site, tents and Airstreams were well maintained and supplied with necessary glamping survival gear. There were extras at cost like quick light fire wood, self cook meal packs, and drinks if you didn’t bring your own. Other glamp perks like mountain bikes, giant jenga blocks, fire pits, and the heated pool were there too for those wanting to indulge.

The tents and airstreams were well maintained with all the needed amenities like heaters, heated blankets, and cookware - we thoroughly enjoyed the unique experience.

There was a major downside which our group all had experience with...the customer service was horrid. It was as if most of the staff didn’t care or didn’t want to be there. Coming from someone who has worked in the hospitality/service industry during most of my college life I was definitely disappointed especially when you’re paying upwards of $400 per night or up to $900 for an all inclusive two night stay!

I’ve been around the world and stayed in 2-star to 5-star hotels, and for this price you can get some great service at a 4-star hotel that dwarfs the attitude and service we were shown. The only bright spot was a brilliant lady who checked us in and was there for part of our stay...a very helpful, friendly, and accommodating front desk employee named Kristen - awesome dyed reddish hair! So if you read this Kristen thank you! You were the bright spot in an otherwise dark experience. Aside from Kristen we were exposed to uninterested, curt, and a bit rude behavior, what do we mean…?

Examples A) We asked about the included breakfast and one employee with a bit of an attitude said that they aren’t prepared till we come to order them. She could have delivered it with less attitude.

B) We had a dog, and asked about dog friendly trails at Yosemite, we got the dreaded face of disgust and curt response…”you can just go to any paved trail”...and that was it! I was thinking, well what trail? Which park entrance? How do we get there? What’s the name of the trail?! All of which I just went to the All Trails app to tell me...and this was free! With the cost you’d expect customer service to be miles better.

C) We ordered breakfast and were told to just pick up at the counter. Cool I can do that! Out plopped a breakfast burrito a few minutes later and I thought ok it’s ours, I reach for it and I hear, “yours isn’t ready, I just put in the order!” in the usual curt response, by this time my blood was boiling...attitude achieves nothing. A simple, “oh your burrito will take a few more minutes as I just placed the order...just sit tight!” would have sufficed.

To everyone aside from Kristen...If you’ve had a bad day/week you don’t take it out on the guests. If you’re unhappy with your job then better yourself and go for a career you value! From that point onward I told my wife, “I prefer if you were the point person for all things front desk related, else I may say something I’ll regret.”

I thought these experiences were isolated to just us, but our friends also experienced curt, impatient attitudes from the crew. Everyone we encountered except for Kristen - again reddish dyed hair ;) had horrible customer service. I’m not sure how the training program is structured at autocamp or if there is one, but a decision maker needs to put Kristen as the head trainer. For $300-400+ per night I can forgo the cost and have my mother in law yell at me and stay at hers for the same...
