Let's get the basics and road trip tactics out of the way first. Our bedroom was cosy and well-kept, with ample bathroom facilities and plenty of privacy when we wanted it. In terms of location, Engvadonia is an absolute diamond. Tucked amongst the winding lanes and rolling rural hills of Mariposa county, it's a perfect base camp for striking out to El Portal and Yosemite Valley on day trips. ||||That said, we'd stay again even if Engvadonia was 100 miles from anywhere.||||After two weeks of road-tripping around LA and Sequoia, being looked after in the comfort of Steve and Nickey's home was the perfect final stop to this incredible holiday. It honestly felt like we were staying with family, swapping stories, eating delicious breakfasts, sharing music... being well and truly looked after.||||As locals with deep knowledge of the surrounding area, they offered some invaluable advice on traveling to Yosemite, ideal walking routes and viewpoints, places to eat and everything in between.||||After our first day in Yosemite, when I popped the question to my now-fiancé, Steve & Nickey were the first people we announced our engagement to. Every morning there is freshly prepared breakfast, ranging from toast to back and eggs or pancakes as well as fruit juices, coffee and tea. The effort put it in really shows.
Looking for information on Yosemite National Park? These two are more than happy to help, share knowledge and experience or simply chat about activities.
For anyone looking to spend the night in the area, there is no better place. Boardgames., Netflix and Internet all made available for their...
