This family owned vineyard is an incredible AirBNB location with two options, The Nest(pre-covid) and The Loft(open now)! This venue (rumored to be a former location for Late Night with James Corden parties and festivities) is furnished with a smart casual design aesthetic in the loft. The bed and bathroom are beautiful and the owners have equipped the studio space with books on Yosemite and John Muir! You can walk the vineyards at sunrise and enjoy the sunsets with a cocktail and propane fire on the loft deck! This location is so close to Yosemite that you are comfortable and in temperate weather no matter what and the park is close enough for several day trips. The caretakers on the land are just outstanding to chat with and have wonderful stories and ideas about what to do in the area! Seems like a popular place for proposals and engagement trips!

We wanted a getaway for our 10th anniversary this summer, but also wanted to hike in Yosemite National Park. Papillon Cellars was a short, 30 minute or so drive into the park. It offered a clean, comfortable, beautiful loft in the hills. Really, there is not a closer spot to Yosemite that is this nice and affordable. Papillon Cellars is THE spot. The hosts, Leo and Kim, are fantastic. They will provide anything you need, but aren't intrusive. The loft is modern with great amenities. Mariposa is probably 5 minutes from the loft, so easy to run into town for supplies or a meal. Highly recommend anyone heading out that way to pay Papillon...

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Kim and Leo. As we arrived, they greeted us outside, where we were immediately struck by their kindness and hospitality. The loft itself is IMMACULATE. Gorgeous, modern and well-appointed. No detail was left unseen to. From the bottle of wine waiting for us inside, to the snacks and beverages provided in the kitchenette, to the carefully crafted binder filled with recommendations and helpful tips…we were blown away. The property it sits on is absolutely lovely as well. Our only regret is that we didn’t book a longer stay! If I could give more than five...
