This place was absolutley perfect for what we were looking for. Close to Yosemite and we even spent the day in Sequoia and then back here (almost a 3 hour drive but scenic and my husband enjoys driving). Our host Kathy was gracious and not intrusive but always accessible via text or call.
When we first arrived i immediately noticed the tastefully decorated entrance. It looked new to me but Kathy said they've been there 5 years. The native plants and flowers along with the clean redish brown bark made the place look very inviting.
We stayed in the Panorama room which had 2 separate bedrooms; 1 master (king bed and flat screen t.v. w/DVD) and 1 with 2 twin beds. It also had a comfortable queen gel convertible bed in the L.R. which came in handy since my husband snores and I flip and flop a lot in bed.
There was a beautiful porch that had a gas BBQ, chaise lounges and table w/chairs that overlooked the wilderness. What impressed me the most was the Trek decking and railing!
The interior was decorated in what I would call "Contemporary Mountain" beautiful accents, calming colors and the most impressive bear and deer accessories. The L.R. also had a flat screen tv and DVD. There were hiking poles that my husband used and a game room with DVD's to borrow along with Boardgames, pool table and air hockey.
I only have one con: the shower head was too high for me and it didn't have a very good spray head. But all in all I would definitely recommend this place.

Read moreI cant say enough nice things about this place. Stayed here when visiting Yosimite, its about 40 min to the south gate (which is less busy) but 1.5 hours to the main visitor center but we knew this when booking. We stayed in the mist trail room & it was clean and very spacious with a large sitting area, a full kitchen, a bedroom, 2 bathrooms, & a patio. The sitting area has a tv & fireplace (for use only in colder seasons), the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes/utensils. The patio over looks a peaceful natural area & it has a gas grill (& grilling utensils in the kitchen.) The chairs at the kitchen table were hard & flat but it all looks very nice & decorated well. The bed & pillows were comfortable and clean. The bathroom was large with both a modern shower & a seperate tub for soaking which was wonderful after a day of hiking, plus lots of towels. They even had guide books and hiking/treking poles to borrow! They have a seperate game room with boardgames, foosball, & shuffleboard. Breakfast was kind of continental style where you are provided with a basket of items including pre-packaged waffles & pasteries, oatmeal, & granola bars plus a variety of fresh fruit including nectarines & plums. I will say that more juice would have been nice, we stayed 2 nights ; neither of us drink coffee/tea & both wanted juice for breakfast but there were only two juices, that woukd be my only suggestion for improvement. Staff was friendly & check in/out was quick & easy. We would be happy to stay there any time im...
Read moreWe promised our then 5 year old daughter that we would take her to Yosemite National Park for a few days. Well, time got away with us and she's now 25 yrs and reminded us of this promise while she was home from college for the summer 2025. Within 1 1/2 months, we had all plans in place and booked Inn The Woods strictly by going off the website and calls to the owner. ||Upon our arrival, we entered a room that was pure heaven. The exterior and interior of the B&B was beautiful and surpassed our expectations. On the table was gift basket with a wide variety of snacks for us to enjoy. The bedroom was so peaceful, the joint private patio to take in the fresh air and view of the mountains, we felt as if we were in a 5 star hotel with the spa bathroom, fireplace for our use and the furniture was very comfortable. ||The owner provided us with a wealth of knowledge upon our arrival. We spend 3 wonderful nites. Our only regret was when our stay was up and we had to return to the bay area. We intend to return during the winter to hopefully enjoy a snow trip. ||We highly recommend this B&B for a romantic get away, family with children or for business. ||The Cabebe...
