Sierra Mountain Lodge - Vacation Rentals - Yosemite — Hotel in Oakhurst

My boyfriend and I decided to get out of crazy Manhattan and head for Yosemite. After some deliberating around where to stay, we found great reviews on Air B&B for this place. We did wonder whether we should try and get somewhere closer to Yosemite, but I’m sooo glad we didn’t stay anywhere else! ||We were lucky enough to spend a week in the Sunrise suite. It was perfect! There was an outdoor grill, decking area, table and chairs to enjoy a drink or two and some sun loungers where we spent some time reading and enjoying the perfect views. ||The drive to Yosemite is around 45 minutes, but it was actually great to pass through Oakhurst for what we needed for our hikes or for our evening meals (dining out or to buy stuff to cook on the grill). ||Even before arriving we had so much helpful information on where to eat, shop and great information on what there is to do around the lodge. Upon arrival there’s a TON of information on Yosemite and the surrounding areas. Brenda and Paul were so responsive to anything we needed and we felt we had total privacy and tranquility. ||I usually like to give constructive feedback, but I’m scratching my head here a little. I wish I could give this place 10 stars!! The location is amazing, secluded and quiet and the outdoor area is beautiful, it's just a 30-40 minute drive to the park, the rooms are ADORABLE it's like your own little apartment with a kitchen, living room, bedroom(s), very clean, stocked with coffee, dishes/utensils and fridge, but above all I got the most superb customer service I've ever received in my life. My husband and I got married out there a couple weeks ago and my whole family stayed there and Brenda (host) and Val (cleaning/maintenance) went so above and beyond to accommodate us all, she made sure all of the rooms had everything that everyone needed, whenever we had any questions with planning the weekend beforehand we would call her and she was so incredibly helpful with EVERYTHING. She decorated our room adding some special touches for my husband and I. My wedding weekend/week was absolutely perfect and I truly have Brenda to thank for all of the advice and help she gave us while planning the weekend before we even got out there. We booked a room through Airbnb for two nights of our vacation. Halfway through vacation, we realized we would be in the area longer, and booked another room (the first room we booked was not available the additional days). Within minutes, I had a response about my room request. Brenda worked with us to find a room we could stay in for all nights of our visit so we didn’t have to move around from room to room. ||When we got into our room, it was so adorable and well put-together. They thought of everything someone might need, and have made sure to accommodate those needs within the rooms. Our lodge had everything from a fridge to a cooler - to a wine bottle opener and mustard and ketchup packets. ||The place is clean and the bed is very comfortable (which is something one may not be so lucky to find at a hotel). The location is adorable.
