A quite remote location far away from any city, so pretty good for stargazing. Even in the summer it gets relatively cold on cloudless nights (45 degrees fahrenheit in our case).
There's a generator running from 6 am to 10 pm that provides hot water and electricity (not in the tents). It loud enough to be annoying if you're trying to sleep.

Read moreEven if you can't get a reservation to stay at a a cool tent cabin you can... Drop by and have a nice buffet style breakfast at the restaurant. Ithe restraurant is very cozy, not overcrowded in a small setting with decent food. You can also try snagging a campsite, although this campsite isn't my favorite in Yosemite because of the way the campsites are so packed in, there's better places to tent camp in YouTube...
