While I generally overlook a lot of things, I decided to start looking at reviews closer and as such try to make notes of things during my visit. Check in was smooth everything looked good in lobby, got to room and needed to charge my phone, first thing noticed was the wall socket near the phone while it had a plug there appeared to be a plate behind so you could not plug anything in. Took the charger over to the night stand where the clock would be, interesting the clock was not plugged in. Plugged the clock in but could not figure how to set the time, so gave up on that, decided to just use the plug in the bathroom which did work. While there grabbed a klenix and wanted to throw away but no trash can in bathroom, ( Later found it under the sink) so just threw in toilet and flushed it, however it did not go down, so tried the second time , still did not go down, oh well. Sat down and watched a little tv until dinner time and grabbed everything up and left, but noticed the door did not seem to close behind me, grabbed to close again, but this time had to really slam it to make it secure. That night when I came back after entering locked the door behind me but that was a challenge, seemed a little out of alignment. That night it seemed every door in the hall was having problems as you heard doors slamming hard throughout the evening. While I know sound proof is not going to happen , I should not hear every noise from my neighbor and what time they got up to turning on the tv and using of the bathroom. So in summary the room was noisy. Same thing Saturday night. While I don't expect the greatest water pressure for a hotel shower, This one does leave something to desire. Low pressure, but after the toilet experience, I was not surprised. I had noticed checkout was not until 1100 am on Sunday morning, I had gotten in late so was still sleeping at 845 when there was a knock on the door for Housekeeping, are you kidding me on a Sunday morning, they don't know guests have not checked out.? Well since I was now up, I got ready and got my stuff and checked out. that should of been the end of it, I was going to say something at the front desk, but was pre occupied with the up coming drive back to Dallas and getting breakfast etc.... Well on my was back, I was now almost to Fort Worth about 3:30 now, I wanted to put something in my computer bag and realized I had left it on the TV stand. I called the office and inquired if housekeeping had turned it in or if they had it at the front desk. there person on the phone I could hear walked to the room , I was only 3 down from the front desk, and she said" oh looks like housekeeping has not gotten here yet, but yes the bag was right where I said it would be. Told her to hold it and my son would pick it up. that part worked out nicely and I think the staff for that assistance, but I bit my tongue and almost said, that was interesting that housekeeping had not come back since 8:45 I believe the hotel is relatively new, it does have a few more bugs...

I checked in to the Candlewood suites from 4/16/24 thru 5/5/24. It is currently under renovations. The room looked nice, but the same day I checked in I started seeing roaches big and small come from the dishwasher and on to the kitchen countertop! I let the front desk know. And they sent maintenance to spray the room with bugspray. I was told that they pest control comes to spray at the end of every month. The bug spray didn't help. Pest control never came. I made sure to keep my luggage closed at all time so roaches wont end up in my bags. So I asked to move to another room. Before moving into the other room I had maintenance pull out the refrigerator and dishwasher and spray really good. For 2 weeks I didn't see anything. But after 2 weeks I started seeing small roaches come from the dishwasher and on to the kitchen countertop!. So I decided to leave and switch to another hotel. The manager Ashley asked me why I was leaving. I told her it was because I continue to see roaches. She got all upset and was very unprofessional. She said the guy who stayed in the room before me was there for a long time and never mentioned roaches and that I am the only one to complain. She also said the roaches must've followed me from one hotel to another because no one has mentioned the roaches but me.
I let Ashley the manager know that several coworkers have seen roaches in there room. And just because I am the only one complaining about the pests this means you have roaches.
If one person sees roaches in their room this is one complaint too many and this means you have a pest problem. Housekeeping cleans rooms once a week. But before they started renovating they should've had pest control come out and spray the whole building instead of renovating on top of roaches!
She was so upset that I told her about the roaches she said if I don't check out by 12pm she would charge me for another day. SO she charged me for Monday 5/6/24!!! Even though I checked out of the hotel on Sunday 5/5/2024 at 230pm. I asked for a printed statement showing my checkout time was 5/5/24 at 230pm. She refused to give me a copy and said she would email my employer that I left at 230pm but still charge the company another day!
I do not recommend this hotel unless you want to reside...
