My friends and I decided to take a trip to Lake Mcconaughy to celebrate the 4th of July! (because well you know fireworks are legal there)...Anyways we stayed at a quaint little hotel called Mesa View Lodge. It was located about 1/2 a mile away from the closest beach and if you sat up at their game room/patio you could see the water! The owners Pam and Bruce were both very knowledgeable about all the beaches around the lake and even helped us find one of the best fire work shows I've seen in along time right in Ogallala! Would definitely recommend this place to friends...

Only inconvenience is the fact that there was no microwave in the room, but the microwave was just a short walk away in the laundry room (strange place but it works). This isn't ideal for Covid times but it's okay the rest of the year. Minus the minor inconvenience of the microwave, this is a pretty nice place, especially for a motel. Prices could come down a bit but he's booking people pretty regularly at the current price so...
