Fantastic experience; Peter, Denise, and team are certainly keeping up the quality and traditions I remember from wayyyyyyy back when in the early 70's, and their attention to their guests' needs and requests is just impeccable. You really feel like you've gained new friends after a couple days with them. Location is excellent for beach access and walks along the various small town roads in the vicinity. Finished off my stay with the 5-minute walk to Nauset beach at 5:00AM to catch a spectacular sunrise -- the colors of which put on a show for over an hour, painting the cloud banks (which I thought sure were going to spoil the event but instead enhanced it immensely) -- complete with ospreys and Arctic Terns diving for breakfast, a dozen seals cruising up and down the beach (one of which had caught probably a striper and was thrashing it in the surf), and the requisite throngs of gulls cruising for scraps.

Loved our stay at SKI! Pete (owner) was so pleasant and welcoming. SKI is a short walk to Nauset beach. Excellent location in Orleans to travel anywhere else in the Cape. Our bed was very comfortable (Ocean View King Room 76) was very spacious yet cozy. The bathroom ceiling is a bit short, so if you’re taller maybe pick a different room? The best part was the morning continental breakfast, so tasty and healthy with individual coffee crafes freshly brewed. They provided cookies/tea for by the fire pit at night! Will be back and highly recommend. Parking was also convenient and the pool area is big :)

Wow what a hidden gem! One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s a lovely bed and breakfast. They do such a good job of making you feel at home. The breakfast was incredible. We got to speak with the owners everyday. They are such wonderful people. The location is great. The beach is a walk away and Orleans is close to multiple other cool spots in the Cape. I would love to stay here again and would highly recommend it.

Leave those Marriott's, Sheraton's, super high-end expensive resorts behind. Why? Well, let me tantalize you with my experience staying with Peter and Denise, the owners of Ship's Knees Inn.

Ship's Knees Inn is ...

a wonderfully located B&B near Nauset Beach where you can walk to the beach, grabbing provided umbrella/chairs and beach towels. a welcoming atmosphere of friendly guests, sharing journeys around a warm fire pit, and enjoying a quiet and peaceful evening sipping the local wine. a place where Peter and Denise provide you that private time away and yet, are there for you - they exquisitely manage that balance as hosts.

But what I I want to share with you, that makes this place the perfect stay while on Cape Cod is that ....

NOT one once of dust is found in the room - it is immaculately clean. the windowsills, when I opened to get that sea air, OMG, the sills are clean (who ever cleans that) -- but Denise does! there is NOT any hint of mildew in the air like you get in those fancy hotel rooms, - my nose was so happy !!! breakfast, OMG, breakfast .... every day is a unique culinary delight experience.

Thank you Peter and Denise for a wonderful week on Cape Cod. We will be back!!!

I am a bit delayed in sharing my review. We stayed in late July/early August, and we had such a wonderful time! Ships Knees Inn is beautiful, cozy, spotlessly clean, elegant and refined without being the least bit stuffy or pretentious, and just has a really nice, relaxed vibe. The grounds were lovely and the pool was beautiful, and we used it every day, usually twice a day. Peter and Denise were both so friendly and nice and so helpful, and replied to texts very promptly, accommodating any needs and offering advice and suggestions for the area. We stayed in three different rooms (we returned to the inn after another inn we had booked turned out to be not as advertised) and all three rooms were lovely and clean and the beds were all very comfortable, but our favorite was the Master's Quarters! We hope to stay in this room again. One of the most awesome features of this inn is that it is literally down the road from Nauset Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the Cape! We could walk there and not have to pay to park or worry about the parking lot being full. It was perfect. We had never stayed in Orleans but discovered we loved it. We definitely plan on returning to Ships Knees Inn! Thank you...

We just finished up another enjoyable long weekend at Ships Knees Inn. We've been visiting for the past 15 years, and it's always a pleasure to enjoy a Cape Cod weekend with Innkeepers Denise & Peter at this delightful inn. ||We've found the rooms to be clean, comfortable and well appointed. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for, and there is a nice pool area as well. The Inn itself is located just a short walk from Nauset Beach, which is super convenient. The town of Orleans has nice shopping and plenty of dining options as well. ||Denise puts together a wonderful breakfast each morning with a rotation of delicious baked goods and other treats. On this last visit I happened to mention that I love pancakes, and there they were the next morning! Again, if we ever have a special request, Denise & Peter will do everything to make it happen. ||We are so happy that our friends found this Inn years ago, and invited us to join them, and we've been returning ever since. If you are looking for a nice place for your Cape vacation,...
