Let's just say this is a filthy, poorly constructed, pet project. Period. I am embarrassed to say we stayed here a second time, once last summer and last night for Valentine's Day. We were still hopeful. Last summer our experience was very poor and rather than going to Google, we went to the owner who basically gave us "the bird" ALL pun intended...she will get the Tucson drift. We made a second attempt by staying last night, and good God folks, either stay home or stay next door for half the price and walk over, its open to the public! If you choose to take on this endeavor...be warned! The parking lot is inaccessible (see photos), no car except a go cart can fit. There is nowhere to unload, you can't open your doors. We had to take everything out a small crack,. Honestly it was a true 11-point turn to get in, and a 21-point turn to get out. We had to crawl over the tops of our seats to get to the driver and passenger seats as the doors cannot be opened. Listen folks, your car is very likely to get damaged in this lot for real, either with you trying to get in or out, or someone else smashing into it. It's filthy, and I mean filthy. Wads of hair, hair in the bed, dead bugs, toothpaste not cleaned old lotion all over the dispenser... (see photos) Gross. Like sticky gross. The walls and ceiling/floors are paper thin. There is no insulation so you literally can hear EVERYTHING...and I mean EVERYTHING!!! Walking, running, stomping, vacuuming, laundry running, talking, urinating and well...you get the idea...EVERYTHING. Apparently, since our visit last summer, the cure for this is now what is called the "quiet zone" as you can see posted in the hallways (see below) ...what on earth does that mean LOL. If safety is a concern for you, you might want to skip this property. There is no one who works at the front desk at night. The doors are open and unlocked 24 hours a day, including the floors where the rooms are located. Literally anyone can enter. We were dead asleep at 8am, having enjoyed our Valentines at the property, we got a call from the front desk warning us that the smoke alarms were going to be tested. LOL. I mean can it get any worse? Actually, it can. They did not test the alarms; it was just a "maybe". OMG. And BTW like other reviews have stated, the bright green flashing light from thus said smoke alarm is so bright at night it's like a strobe...beware. Honestly, it's like someone's hobby or weird snobby project with no consideration at all for guests and certainly there is no skill in hospitality. Where is Gordon Ramsay when you need him? Just because you "can" open a hotel, doesn't mean you "should" open one. To be fair, to save future guests the frustrations we have experienced and have to write a less than satisfactory Google review as this is the only avenue for complaints, just VISIT the Mr. Lemmon Lodge, don't stay overnight. Pray you can find parking on the mountain, go up and grab a sandwich at Beyond Bread (which is always yummy) ...but be prepared, it may take in upwards of an hour to get a sandwich if its packed. As you can see, the owners/staff do not respond to anything less than a 5-star review. So as history has shown, no one will even sniff even a hollow apology our way. Best of luck. P.S. Anyone ever heard of theft proof pillows? Ya I didn’t think so. Difficult to sleep on, make no mistake.

From the get go no there is where to go in. I mean literally no entrance for your car... How are you to know where to go? We passed the hotel twice before even seeing the "entrance." Never seen a hotel where there was no clear entrance to the lobby. Eventually I find the "entrance" and pull up to the gate. It is the parking garage gate and is unmarked and closed. There is a sticker with a number to call the front desk for check-in. No one answers... it actually doesn't even ring. Thankfully a random guest let us in. I get to front desk and they said I'm supposed to park on the street and then check in... yet there is no available parking on the street and Okay even if there was - A) how am I supposed to know that?? B) I have two kids I can't leave them. So I'm supposed to haul them up all those stairs and the stroller without an elevator to check in? Then get a key and go back down load up the kids again and re park?? So thankfully we are let into the TINY parking garage. There's only one spot my car will fit in. I finally get in without hitting any poles. We go up to check in and she says I have to park in spot 3. I said okay well I won't fit... can I park in spot 1? And apparently it's taken. She says we have spots across the street .... not sure how I would get my two babies and all my luggage in while parked across the street. Like I said before there's no lobby parking or front entrance for cars. So I agree to go move into spot 3 We get up to the room. Everything is fine. Beds are on the firmer side but cozy. Room is beautiful. Patio is beautiful. Ac works awesome but you don't even need it with the weather. The floor is a little thin and I feel like with each step I'm disturbing the guests below me... hopefully I am not. There is a mini fridge and microwave and minibar. Small water bottles are $3 each but there is an ice machine and the tap tastes fine. Wifi does not work. Tried the given password multiple times and nothing. Also there is no cell service at all. Zero bars! While it is nice to have a break from my phone it's also a little uneasy when traveling alone with two small children. I hope no one is trying to get ahold of me... Another issue is that I don't believe it is wheelchair accessible... and if it is... It's only when you have a room key and/or call the hotel for entry (which they don't answer....) the only way I could go in and out of the hotel with my stroller was through the bottom floor parking garage and elevator which both require a room key. The one time I used what appears to be the main entrance?? I had to carry the stroller up about ten stairs. I didn't know this until my kid and I had walked up a long ramp. Getting to bed was fine and like I said the room is beautiful, but at 8:40 pm while myself and my kids were already in bed and down for the night... the over head light randomly turned on and off about three times and then stayed on.

This was our first trip to Mt. Lemmon. The weather was actually 30 degrees cooler than in Tucson. The drive up had awesome views around every corner! We stayed 2 nights at the Mt. Lemmon Lodge and it was amazing! We booked the handicapped (ADA) room and one other "regular" room. Since they have a limited number of rooms, they only have one wheelchair accessible room. This room had one king bed, and a foldout loveseat bed. The bathroom had lots of room to move around. The room is located on the third floor and it has a great view of pine trees and the hillside across the street 🌲. The hotel has an amazing staff, from the front desk, the small cafe Beyond Bread, gift shop and house keepers. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. The Beyond Bread cafe had a small, but very delicious and healthy menu. The fresh pastries were mouth watering šŸ˜‹! Spent way too much money in their gift shop 😜. Besides the usual T-shirts, hats, and sweatshirts, they have a LOT of unique gifts at reasonable prices šŸ’². The two drawbacks (suggestions for the future) that I saw were parking and handicap access into the building from the parking garage. The parking is covered (under the hotel 1st floor), and it is very tight. It's ideal for smaller cars, but not for trucks or larger SUV's. They only have one handicapped parking space here. It's tight and not meant for "Van Accessible" parking. They DO have an additional 4 parking spaces across the street, but you have to cross the road and go UP the entrance road into the covered parking on foot. Best to unload before you park. The second suggestion is to add a push button on the entrance door into the building for wheelchair users. Overall, a great stay here. Sorry for the long review, but hope it's helpful. Enjoy...

Where to start. First started looking at booking and questioned the pet fee/deposit. They charge $100 a night per pet. I called before booking to see if that is refundable because WOW and they confirmed it was refundable. Booked and actually emailed them to get in writing. I got a response back stating it was refundable. Cool.

We rented a standalone cabin. It was dark when we got there to check in 5:30, our code to the door didn’t work, called the front desk 7 times and left messages and no return of the call. After 45 minutes we started packing up the dogs and baby to go to the actual lodge and ran into someone coming home from work. She was able to get a hold of the owner. First they were not going to let me in until I said we were going to go home and she all the sudden had a code. She said maintenance would be there shortly to rekey for us. No one showed up that night and finally got a call at 9pm ā€œcalling us backā€ told her the story and said we were waiting in maintenance and she said he wasn’t at the mountain tonight. Which is fine but why did the owner the other lady say he would be there soon? Anyways she told me that maintenance would be there at 7:30am. We went to check out the lodge around noon, and see if maintenance was ever coming by. Front desk and owner seemed confused but he went over to rekey for us. Cool

Check out at 10:36 left a message because of course no one answers the phone. I get a call from the owner at 3:35pm asking if we were still occupying the cabin because they have guest who say it’s occupied. Told him nope I left a message when we checked out and we are already home in Tucson. Best guess is it wasn’t cleaned when we checked out. What a mess!

I get my final receipt and notice the $400 was not refunded that I was told several times it would for the pets. Called in the morning and was told that the pet fee is not refundable. I told her that I called several times and have an email that it is refundable. She said she has no history of my calls or email. She asked me to resend that email I got. She wasn’t nice about it whatsoever and you can hear the owner in the back. As if this is MY fault their employees suck. They did refund me but no apology or anything. More that I was an inconvenience

The cabin was beautiful with a great view. But beds were hard as a rock and the guest bath had a terrible mildew smell with a leaking faucet. They have no urgency of anything and you feel as if your an inconvenience if anything is wrong. They are confused and unorganized. I will be staying at the Mt Lemmon Hotel...
