Best place to stay in the entirety of Idaho!!! Found this place on a whim while planning last minute and it was a God send. Great, hidden location with all the amenities you could ask for and more! Gorgeous views from every which place and just far enough from the highway to forget you’re on vacation. Didn’t want for a single thing and in fact was pleasantly surprised at every detail that Jo so carefully thought for. She makes a mean cinnamon roll (and best eggs😍) that alone will bring you back! Couldn’t speak higher of this amazing lodging, can’t wait to come back!!! God bless you Jo!!!

I can't say enough about the hospitality, even if they had 10 stars I would want to add more! Jo was a wonderful hostess, and accommodated everything we needed, not to mention the food was outstanding. Highly recommended, and we hope to be back again soon. Make sure you ask her about her Cookbook, and do the Dworshak Dam Tour, her husband was a part of the history of the Dworshak Dam.

Jo, you are amazing and it was so nice to meet you and to stay at your beautiful inn. The views were spectacular and your food was WONDERFUL! Thank you for being so sweet and accommodating with my vegetarian needs. The biscuits and milk gravy, scrambled eggs AND the cinnamon rolls were fabulous. HUGS!

Vicki hand prepared our dinner and breakfast. We greatly enjoyed both and were happy with the quality of the food. Wine and beer were available for purchase by the glass or bottle. We were given the options to chose what we wanted to eat and what time we wanted to eat since we were the only people there. We even got served some fresh-from-the-tree country, canned peaches. Vicki was kind enough to put out some fine cheeses and crackers as a before dinner snack since we had been traveling all day.

Hospitality: Vicki, the host, went out of her way to make our stay special. She knew it was our 10 year anniversary and did everything she could to be accommodating and to make our night memorable. Bingo the schnauzer puppy was happy to welcome us and wanted to play ball. Vicki was entertaining and a blast to chat with! We did not get to meet the owner, Jo, but we were told a lot about her during our stay.

Accommodations: The beds were comfortable, the inn and all publicly accessible places on the property were clean, quiet and well maintained. Each room/cabin is theme decorated. We stayed in the moose room which had a very mountain lodge feel complete with a real, mounted mountain lion in our room. There was quite a bit to do at High Country Inn Bed & Breakfast for adults and children. There was a pool table, games, toys, satellite TV, music, comfortable couches and patio furniture, and a sparkling hot tub in the gardens. They are also pet friendly.

Overall our stay was relaxing and it was so nice to wake up feeling refreshed and taken care of! We would hope to stay here again sometime...

We were on a short motorcycle trip and arrived after hours around 7pm. Not only had the host already assured us there was motorcycle access she met us at check in and was absolutely lovely and gracious. She provided us coffee and homemade delicious biscotti! She was able to give us info on where to get a bite in town that late. Also informed us had we planned ahead with her she could have made dinner! The place was beautiful, warm inviting and clean. We stayed in the bear's den. Little details like q-tips and robes were surprising. 'Jo' the owner/host is an interesting inspiring woman and we enjoyed hearing about some of her story after a delicious breakfast prepared by her. If you go here prepare to be comfortable and peaceful. There is also a hot tub and firepits available and tons of places/areas to enjoy the views and natural surroundings. Also a game room with pool table and horseshoes outside. We were very delighted as we had not known what to expect when we booked...

This place was very peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the porch or in the hot tub in the late evenings watching the deer come into the yard and eat the fruit from the trees. The cool part was when the doe's would make a snort whistle sound and a buck would come out of the woods and join them. Jo was so kind and sweet. She made us feel like family when we were there. She is an amazing host and cook. She would make breakfast every morning with homemade scones, blackberry jam, and many other things. The breakfast was filling and delicious. We stayed an entire week here and didn't want to leave. Thank you Jo for our wonderful stay. We would love to come back and stay...
