Holiday Inn Osceola by IHG — Hotel in Osceola

I hadn’t really heard any good reviews on the hotel side of this establishment, but I was able to witness it firsthand today. First, we ate in the restaurant, the food was good and the waitresses were very nice and helpful. Then, one of the people with us was walking to the pool area to say hi to the kids and the General Manager chased her down, as if she had stolen something; just to say if you don’t have a room here you can’t be in the pool area (she was very disrespectful while saying it), then she went on to tell the lady who had a room: this is why I didn’t want to rent to you in the first place.

The hotel is new and was opened before all preparations were complete. The rooms did not have hair dryers or coffee makers, as advertised. There was supposed to be free coffee, in the lobby. The lobby did not have a coffee maker. Since the attached restaurant is a sperate entity, the coffee came with a fee. On the issue of the restaurant, the food and bar prices are very expensive, for the area. We had an appetizer 3 cocktails and four glasses of wine. The tab was over $100. I checked on the breakfast buffet. With taxes, it was almost $20 per person and did not include coffee. I will say the service was excellent and the hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. We came in from Michigan on the 27th to stay one night. We get there and none of the keycards were working so everyone had to stand around to wait for our rooms. This is a new hotel yet in our room there was a big nasty stain on the carpet and a lot of the sockets didn’t work.Then an hour after going to bed I was woke up by other guests playing loud music and talking so loud that you could hear their whole conversation. You can also hear all the highway noise in your room. I took a picture of the stain to show them when I checked out, I told the girl I’m showing you this so you don’t charge me for damages. She pulled out a notebook with a lot of complaints written in it to put about the stain in it. I was very disappointed especially since it was brand new and for how much...
