Would never stay here again and suggest no one else does either. Tree fell on my car during the stay on a Friday. Owner told us they would be having it removed asap and if we left it wouldn’t be covered by insurance. That we were welcome to stay as long as it took. They Had us all weekend believing it would be removed BY THEM. Come Sunday we were still there waiting with every excuse possible thrown at us.Tired of waiting on them to have someone remove it we called a tree service ourself. Owner refused to talk to tree business owner but agreed to it but wouldn’t sign nothing till Monday morning. Come Monday morning owner didn’t show up and now said it wasn’t his responsibility to remove it. Even though he told us all weekend he would. General manager shows up soon as she gets out her car she is yelling at us in front of my kids. Saying it’s an act of God they are not responsible. When we ask her why than did they have us there all weekend waiting telling us they would she called the cops on us. This was our first interaction with the general manager never had she showed her face there before or told us anything. We understand it was an act of God but why tell us all weekend you were doing it. We never raised our voice at the general manager for her to come at us aggressively. The tree limb that fell on our car was rotted and had lack of care to it. On top of that the place smelt bad room had mold in bathroom tv didn’t work in room tv in living room had scratches all over it that made it hard to see. Which shows lack of care overall through the whole building. We paid out of pocket to have the tree removed. Plus we missed work and kids missed school due to lack of communication with us. They also told us we would be refunded for the stay we paid for that has yet to happen. We also have thousands of dollars of damage on our car. They did accommodate or stay from Saturday till Monday morning which was nice of them. But Monday while we were waiting for the tree service to remove the tree they made sure to call us to rush us out. Like we were there willingly all weekend by choice. Our stay was prolonged because of them. And they have the audacity to rush us out Monday. Front desk ladies were great as housekeeping. Owner is very inconsiderate, unprofessional, lacks communication and does not care about his customers it showed. Which makes sense why he has a general manager that is disrespectful, hateful and unprofessional working for him. General manager lacks the skills, communication and requirement for her title. Very ghetto, Unprofessionaland childish. Save yourself the headache and don’t do business here. You will be disrespected, yelled at in front of your kids and disregarded by owner and...

This is my 2nd time staying here. Summer of 2024 you could tell it was an older hotel but it was clean, large rooms, couch had a pull out bed and didn't feel unsafe.
On July 1, 2025 I decided to to book it again as I was traveling through and didn't have a bad experience the last time. This time though it was much different. As I walked in, I was greeted by a woman that had no uniform on and looked unpresentable. There was also a bucket on the floor a huge whole in the ceiling (I am assuming they were working on something but it was hard to tell). As I check in and go to my room at first glance it seemed good thats until I pulled on a drawer and got some type of sticky goo on my hand, where the couch was (this time no pull out sofa) the carpet was filthy and was apparent that they didnt vacuum. Positive, the beds were clean, the bathroom and sink area was clean as well.
The worse struck when we left and came back about 3-4 hours later around 9pm. As we got back there were a bunch of people in the parking lot on the side that were drinking and smoking. The side door was propped open and I noticed crickets were coming into the hotel. I and my kids went straight in, I walked up to the front desk and told them the side door was propped open (didnt even mentioned the drinking and possible illegal substances) and she goes, "Oh we have a bunch of construction workers here. They come and go and prop the door open." As if it was okay! I told her thats a major security problem and that crickets were getting in because of it. She didn't seemed bothered. I am pretty sure crickets were getting in to the rooms right that door (and you'll see why)
My kids and I went to our room thats was on the 3rd floor and I locked the door and took other security measures to make sure the door was secure because now I was on edge. As I walked further in the room I saw CRICKETS!!! I killed about 5 that night and the next morning I killed a few more. I was completely disgusted. I also checked on my car a few times that night since the only parking available was next to these people I pretty sure weren't guests of the hotel and didn't resemble construction workers.
I know this is an older hotel but the lack of care from the service people is quite apparent.
The location is great but stay at the Comfort Suites. Its not right next to the interstate but your experience will be better. I have stayed at the other location twice on another round trip and it's much nicer, the staff are professional...
Read moreMy wife and I have stayed at this location 3 times. The first two times would receive high marks (8-10). However, this trip was the complete opposite. The only positive I can provide you is that the bed was very comfortable, as it was in our previous stays.
This was our stay, in order of occurrence:
After checking in and entering our room (107), I went to use the bathroom facilities. The wall fixture for the toilet paper roll was so loose on one side that the spool and roll dropped to the floor. We unpack and go to transfer beverages and a "to go" box of leftovers from our lunch at a restaurant earlier that day from a small cooler to the refrigerator. The refrigerator, unfortunately, isn't working. I notified the front desk and she provided a replacement unit after confirming that power to the outlet and fuse were good. I also let her know about the toilet paper dispenser situation which could addressed after we left. While waiting for the refrigerator, my wife showered and informed me the shower curtain was visibly moldy on its' lower portions. There was also obvious mold along the caulk line on both the back side and ends of the tub, along with a cracked tile. The front desk adjusted my bill $30 for the inconvenience, but still ended up more than what we were accustomed. My wife later went to use the vending machine, but both were out of order. The following morning we went to the breakfast area. The food was fine, as in the past. The coffee machine had a "decaf out of order" sign and the regular coffee dispensed what I can only describe a semi-heavy, undrinkable sludge that I wasn't even tempted to taste and tossed it. Multiple guests had the same result and those of us eating began warning others approaching the machine. There was also an "out of order" note on one of the dispensers of the juice machine. The pool is located by the breakfast area and my wife went over to peek in while I finished eating. Returning to the table she pointed out that the glass door to the pool was in a real need of a wipe down from smudges, handprints etc. Both maintenance and housekeeping at this facility are not what we experienced in the past. We will most likely look for a different facility when we travel through...
