If you are searching the internet for the perfect getaway in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, do yourself a favor and stop wasting your time – just book your stay at The Cabins at Hartland Ranch!
My wife Renae and I escaped the desert to attend a car show in Pagosa Springs (a GREAT car show, by the way!) and needed a place to stay. There is not enough room in this review to tell you how perfect our stay was! Angie greeted us upon our arrival and showed us our “Cabin”. We stayed in “The Peaks” and if you are thinking these are rustic old cabins, think again! These are finely crafted homes with every amenity you would ever need! The furnishings and décor are first rate and give that “Colorado” mountain feel that we were looking for. They have a washing machine and dryer, full size refrigerator, full size stove and oven and all of the necessary dinnerware and utensils needed (including wine glasses!) if you choose to stay secluded for a week and cook your own meals. The bed was super comfy and there is even a whirlpool tub to relax in at the end of the day!
The cabins are QUITE and make you feel as though you are 10 miles from anywhere with incredible sweeping views of the Continental Divide. The amazing thing is that these cabins are literally 2 minutes from downtown Pagosa Springs! You are that close to restaurants and activities! And when you are done you are moments from your tranquil oasis! We will DEFINITELY stay here again! On a side note – Renae and I are both photographers and I made a point of getting up at 3:00am to photograph the Milky Way. The stars and Milky Way are the most vivid and bright we have ever seen!
As I said, I could go on and on about our stay but suffice it to say that Angie and Ken are the best hosts ever and The Cabins at Hartland Ranch are simply amazing. Don’t even hesitate – just book your...
Read moreIf you are planning a trip to the Pagosa Springs area, The Cabins at Hartland Ranch is the perfect place to stay. Six of us stayed in the three bedroom / three bath Trails End cabin and all agreed we couldn't have found better accommodations. The cabin was exceptionally clean and comfortable with plenty of space for eating and relaxing after a day of excursions in and around Pagosa Springs. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Morning coffee on the front porch and evening beverages on the back porch while enjoying our view of the snowcapped mountains and listening to the birds as deer ambled through the yard made for a totally peaceful time together. The cabins are just a mile from downtown Pagosa Springs, so it was very easy to spend time in town and drive (or walk) back for quick breaks in between our adventures. Our hostess, Jennifer, is amazing! She made sure we felt welcome and knew that she'd help in any way she could to make our visit special. Walking into our cabin after long travels from WI, NE, and AR, to find a homemade pie from a local bakery, snacks, and a bottle of wine was just what we needed. Highly recommend you check this place out before booking...
Read moreThis cabin was absolutely perfect for our family getaway. The property is gorgeous. We saw deer and chipmunks off our porch. It was super clean and literally has everything you could need except for food and clothing. The towels are thick and absorbent. Even the toilet paper and facial tissue are nice, not the scratchy stuff that's in most hotels/lodging. There are plenty of dishes and cookware, foil, cooking spray, etc. I also love that there were cloth napkins instead of having to use paper towels for napkins during meals.||||The gas fireplaces were cozy and warm. The bedding was comfy and there were plenty of pillows (something else that a lot of places skimp on), which I appreciate because I like to sleep with 4 pillows :). It's a maybe 3 minute drive to the main road in Pagosa, but you feel like you're much farther away. ||||Oh and the cabin even had a drawer of games (Jenga, Clue, Trouble) to play. They've thought of everything. 5+ stars.||||Seriously this is one of my top 5 places I've ever stayed and I've stayed in a lot of places. I...
