Stopped in on a whim, as I'm a sucker for a local brewery/brew-pub. Ordered a flight of beers and the Yak meatloaf. Waitress was great, better than what you get in most touristy towns. Beer was excellent, even the styles I usually don't like were good. "Personal Idaho" surprised me because I usually stay away from IPAs but I really liked it. Here's the bad: Ordered the Yak meatloaf. Sounded unique and I'm adventurous. Meal came out in a timely manner, however the first bite I took was stone cold in the middle. Got the waitress to take it back and they clearly microwaved the meal again. The food still tasted good, but it was disappointing overall. They comped the flight, so I guess it all evens out. I read someone else's review that had a similar experience. It seems like they need to make the meatloaf in smaller batches. Figure out how many typically get ordered on any given day and find a pan just big enough for that many servings, and when it's out-it's out. Scarcity with extreme freshness will outweigh abundance with poor performance every time. My brother said his hamburger was freaking delicious, and he liked all the beer. He's a beer snob so that's high praise from him. We ended up buying a six-pack of the seasonal "Sut's Faux-Knee" (nice homage to a fallen local ski patrol). It was tasty and we drank it all that night! Highly recommend getting some of that.

Meh, food not great and slow service. Rear patio provides a view of the what's a river but looks more like a drainage ditch. Also no dogs allowed even on patio /back area. AFTER I ordered my food the manager told me I had to take my food to go, couldn't allow me to even eat on the public path in back. 17.64 for the pulled pork and coleslaw (pic taken on my jeep) . I stopped in town after days camping in the mountains supposed to meet other jeepers here later. Now plans have shifted for us to do more camp fire cooking and gtfot. Really this town is not worth a stop. The brewery looks kinda interesting but only because there's not anything of real interest in this town.

Great end to a great day. Our first time at RR. We heard it was owned by a Red Raider so we had to support. Wreck’em! Kettle chips and dip were good. Chips were nice and light but still crispy. Dip was a little blah. Still good but heavy on cream and light on the flavoring. All burgers were ordered medium and that’s what we got. They had a great flavor. Grilled onions on the Dude were really good. Fries were pretty standard. Cobb salads were both good. Mix ranch and cilantro lime dressings! You’re welcome! Great atmosphere, great food and great service. Our waiter was awesome. I would def recommend.

They should just stick to beer. I don't typically write reviews, but after my second bad experience here I figured it was warranted.

Tried to eat here 3 weeks ago, but walked in around 5:30 on a Saturday afternoon and walk told it would be an hour and half wait for 2, of course empty tables everywhere. We walked down to Beny's and sat immediately and had a nice Mexican dinner.

I didn't realize how lucky it was that we skipped Riff Raff that night. I was back and wanted to actually give it a try due to the good reviews. Was there again about 5:30 on 9/21. The beer was good, the bar staff were great. Everything else... not so much. The "hostess" to put it nicely had a ridiculous attitude. Here's how my conversation went with her: Me: There's 2 of us. Her: It's a 30 minute wait. Me: Ok is there a place for us to wait or hangout? Her: Ummmm I guess you could stand over there. Me: Ok... Is there a bar or something we could wait at? Her: I guess. The bar is over there, you can check.

I then watch as a gentleman had to physically calm his wife down because the "hostess" yelled excuse me (unnecessarily) to his wife twice as she was trying to walk through. I watched the "hostess" seat a group of obviously her friends before a similar sized group that had been there before them. I watched her tell every person that came in it was a 30 min wait, then for some reason when a guy from the bar started helping her the wait went away and people were seated immediately!

It's seriously like people showing up to the restaurant to eat were the biggest inconvenience in the world to that "hostess."

Our waiter at the table wasn't much better. I had to go get our own silverware and napkins from the helpful bar staff. All of our food was attempted to be delivered to the wrong table. Food was very meh. Took forever to get the bill.

If you have to go, sit at the bar. It's also the only TVs are visible. i could overlook the meh food if you could drop in and get a quick burger and couple of beers while watching a game, but omg... these reviews are...

I’m a returning visitor to Pagosa Springs and had raved about this area to my husband, Jesse. My first visit years ago (while seeing Navy shipmates/friends) was wonderful, so we came back for a romantic getaway from Dallas. A local chocolate vendor recommended Riff Raff, and we were excited to try it. Unfortunately, this experience left us disappointed and uncomfortable.

We arrived on Wednesday, 9/24/25 around 2 PM and were seated at a bare table—no napkins, silverware, or condiments—while other tables were set. It took over 15 minutes just to be greeted and offered water. We ordered appetizers, which were tasty, but then waited another 30 minutes before our server returned to take our meal order. During that time, we noticed guests who came in after us being served much more quickly.

What hurt most was the interaction that followed. As an interracial couple, I was already aware that I was the only Black person in the restaurant. When the server finally returned, she made small talk about my Dallas Cowboys beanie and told me I was “in the wrong country.” My husband assumed she meant “Broncos territory,” but as a person of color, I recognized a comment many of us have heard that implies you don’t belong. I tried to laugh it off, but it left me feeling unwelcome.

The dignity and respect of every person, regardless of race, should be a given. We left feeling disrespected, and although our drinks and appetizers were good, we will not return. I regret once speaking so highly of Riff Raff, and I hate that my husband was made to feel so uncomfortable.

⚠️ If you are an interracial couple or a person of color, please be aware you may not receive the same service or respect as...
