Your response is untrue . You could have solved a lot of grief if you would have given the rules sheet ahead of time!
The cancellation policy is that they will keep your money! Beware!
We paid $759, to stay at "Wine Ridge RV park" for October. After giving the place further inspection, we had some concerns, and were considering canceling.
At that point, we were given a "Policy and Rules sheet", which should have been provided BEFORE we paid, not after!
The policy and rules sheet indicated the following ;
1.) Only one vehicle allowed, per campsite. Your second vehicle is to be parked in an overflow lot, on the opposite side of security. This was a ways away, and out of sight range. We were told that the lot fills up rapidly and cars get towed away, because they have a parking feud with the neighboring winery.
2.) When your friends come to visit, they would have to pay $10 each.
3.) Your outdoor chairs must match.
4.) Each rental is for two people. Any additional people in your party is $300 more per person.
In an attempt to cancel, multiple calls were never returned to us. So we arrived in person. When we arrived, we requested a private meeting, (behind a closed door). However, we were denied privacy to discuss the matter.
When we started explaining that we were no longer interested in staying, the conversation escalated very rapidly. The acting manager raised her voice at us, saying," We don't give refunds!"
She exclaimed that she would lose her job if she issued a refund. She then went on to say that she was a single mother and needed her job.
Every time I attempted to speak, I was talked over. We were calm and diplomatic, but the acting manager would not listen and became extremely agitated and started to yell.
She wouldn't let me speak, so I could tell her that all we wanted was a call back from the manager to discuss this. The acting manager insinuated that we didn't believe her boss had been out ill for several days. We just wanted to know when we could expect a phone call. She became so flustered and angered that she went so far as to tell us her boss had been out with COVID for over two weeks.
Suddenly, a second employee from behind the glass wall heard her yelling at us, stood up and also started raising her voice. Rather than getting yelled at by two people, my husband walked into her office so he could hear her. Thank goodness she listened to him. All he wanted to do was get a message to the manager.
Our first thoughts were, "Wow, she just shared some very private information, about her boss, that should never have been shared with the general public.
She also threatened to call security on us. We NEVER even raised our voices at her.
The entire encounter with "Wine Ridge" was very unnerving and unprofessional. We were yelled at, accused of not believing the clerk, and were threatened that security would be called on us.
After all of this this, They kept $300. Beware!!
"Wine Ridge" You made a big mistake.
According to your cancellation policy, you owe me $240. Please contact me at your earliest...
Read moreThe sites are unremarkable - large gravel stones with a short concrete patio to position your door over - but they’re level and not overly tight. The main draw of this campground - besides being located about an hour from Death Valley National Park and Las Vegas - are the on-side activities and amenities. The main building houses the office, a small store, and a large clubhouse where they hold events like karaoke, poker tournaments, and wine tastings. Outside the clubhouse is the recreation area, with 2 swimming pools, a hot tub, a communal fire pit, a large outdoor grill and bar area, a ping-pong table, and two pickleball courts. They also have a self-service, open-area car/RV wash area with normal car wash tools (pressure washer, soap wand, etc.). On Tuesday evenings a food truck serving Mexican and American fast food parks near the wash area.
There is also a good-sized dog park with 5-foot fencing in the back left corner of the campground which gave our dogs a chance to let loose a bit. The walls of the park have solar-powered motion sensing lights that made it easy to use the park at night. The back and right sides of the campground are open to a public desert landscape, so we could also walk our dogs (on leash) out there, either along the two cairn-marked trails or just freestyle.
Pahrump has mountain ranges to the east and to the west, so we enjoyed a number of lovely sunrises and sunsets during our stay (we were in the last row on the right side of the campground, so we could watch the shadows cast by the setting sun creep up the slopes of the mountains to the east from our camper).
In terms of cell service, the best speeds I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna during our stay was around 20Mbps down and 15Mbps up, which was enough to stream TV with an occasional stutter. The one speed test I performed on my AT&T phone showed 28Mbps down and 8Mbps up.
So if you need a basecamp for visiting the area that also has campground leisure activities, this is a...
Read moreThis park is the worst! We visited with the intent to ride the ATV trails and even told the park this when we made our reservations. When we arrived we were told quiet time was from 10pm to 8am and we were allowed to drive our ATVs out of the park as long as we followed the speed limit. Patrick himself told us this. Knowing these rules we were all in our RVs at 10pm and drove our ATVs out of the park at 5 mph or slower and only in the afternoon. We were harrassed by the several snow bird neighbors from the moment we arrived and made to feel not welcomed. We were yelled at just for removing our ATV from our RV at 12pm and segregated only for being under 55. The manager Patrick Peatree only came to our campsite one time with the intent to throw us out because of his prejudice against ATV riders and younger groups. He made several accusations that we not true and lied to the NYE County Police department about our actions. He made a hostile advance towards my 15 year old son because was son was scared of his yelling and tried to move away from him. He said we had several warning about our behaviour when we were only approach by him our second day at the park and never approached by any other park employee. Our neighbor was a very friendly older man and spoke to the police officers in our favor knowing we were only having a fun family weekend and had no malicious intent towards breaking any rules. We were kicked out of the park and told every penny would be refunded to us as long as we left. At this time Patrick has said we will not receive a cent of our money. He lied to the police department, he lied to us. This is not a family friendly park and the park has a very dishonest manager. He claims we are trespassed from going back to the park which I will follow up with though the police department because he has no merit to stand on for a...
