My husband and I stayed here last weekend. It was our anniversary and we just wanted to get out of the house. I'll first mention that with tax we paid $137.00 for one night. We got a room with a queen bed and a jacuzzi. The first thing I noticed was that the room was very outdated/old looking. When I went to get ice there were two ice machines, neither of them worked. So I went to the front desk and told the lady. She sent me to the restaurant in the same building and did not seem to be concerned about my issue. I also found out that those are the only ice machines in the whole hotel. A few hours later we wanted a snack so I went to the vending machines (same place where the ice machines were) and found a gentleman there asking me if I knew where any more ice machines were. So hours later after me telling the front desk their ONLY ice machines were out of ice they still hadn't fixed the issue. The man did not like the fact that he'd have to go to the restaurant just to get ice. Another thing is that for the amount of money we paid there should have been a continental breakfast. There was not. We ordered a pizza instead because the restaurant is way overpriced. My husband was very excited about the indoor pool. It's one of the reasons we chose the Ramada. Well, guess what? The INDOOR pool wasn't even heated. We didn't get to swim because it was cold. He was so disappointed. The ATM said it was charging us a $3.00 fee to withdraw funds. We looked at our credit card statement and there was a $3.00 PLUS another $2.00 fee that we were not told about. So they actually charged us $5.00. Checkout was at 11 AM but we couldn't check in the day before until 3 PM. That's way too late. The day we were to check out a maid came to out door at 10 AM ready to clean it. We weren't even out yet. I don't need a someone knocking on the door telling me to leave an hour before I need to. So if they have maids cleaning at 10 AM and check in is at 3 PM, why does it take 5 hours to clean rooms? Check in should be much sooner than 3. We went to check out and the person at the front desk didn't even ask us how our stay was or...
Read moreMy sister and her family stayed there for 5 days Wednesday the 23rd-Monday the 28th and they had a wonderful stay until they realized they had left a whole garbage bag full of their clothes and their kids clothes (see through garbage bag mind you) Lots of money in those clothes and when they realized they had left them when they got home to Indiana they called that Tuesday only to be told that house keeping had announced over the radio about a full trash bag of clothes being left beside their door on the inside and what should they do with them. Her husband had layed them there and forgot to put them on the cart to go downstairs. Anyway they announced this over the radio because they knew it didn’t seem like trash but apparently management told them to throw it away. The guy on the phone told her if they’d been in a laundry bag they might not have thrown them away but the laundry bags they give are clear bags also lol and they are super small. Here’s my issue, they take no responsibility for the clothes being thrown away, some of those clothes her kids had worn once and were bamboo they were expensive. They knew it didn’t look or feel like trash and should’ve held onto the bag for atleast a few days to see if anyone called or came...
Read moreWe returned to the hotel for our 30th anniversary because we stayed in room 266 for our honeymoon. When we placed the reservation we were assured we would get the same room and even paid in full in advance to make sure we got it; upon checking in we were told a different room number and questioned it and explained again why we wanted that particular room but were only told it wasn't available and he didn't know why (could be a broken AC or whatever but he didn't know). We asked if since we weren't getting the room we wanted if they had a room with a king bed available and we paid the difference (about $20/night). When we got in our room it was actually smaller than the room with 2 queen beds, super warm and we had to call twice to figure out the actual password for the wifi. While I'm trying to figure things out I get online only to find we paid $30/night more for the room we ended up with than what was posted online! By no means will this spoil our anniversary but it definitely makes our little get away a lot less special. For what we paid for the room we could have stayed somewhere nicer and with more places to sightsee but in the end we have managed to be happily married for 30 years and that's what...
