Well the room was not all cracked up to be . The faucet handles in the bathroom were broke and nobody told us you share a bathroom . The last that does your check call herself a Christian well not even. I was talking to my hubby out front when you check in about staying at another hotel next time we are out this way. Well that so called Christian lady came out of her bedroom and said goodmorning and than had the nerve to butt I no to our conversation and she said well it's obvious you not happy here I will refund you . We came on a Friday and left THAT DUMP SAT. And tv channels didn't even work. Plus I heard telling someone on the phone that prices went up due to Covid . OMG that crap is so over just another way of charging more money. And than when we got their we thought we could check in early . Because all the rooms were EMPTY. And than the so called Christian lady barked out 2pm check in and 11am check out . My husband said really the rooms were all unoccupied. The only GOOD THING THAT WE LIKED ABOUT TYE HOTEL WAS THE HOME COOKED FOOD. But next time my husband said we are out on that area we will just stop in for lunch. WHO KNOWS MAYBE EVIL CHRISTIAN MAY NOT BE THEIR. GOOD LUCK SHE WAS...
Read moreMy wife and I just spent a week at the hotel and we both loved it. It’s still of the period when built in 1906 with a few up grades like a shower and electricity- not sure when that came along. Anyway we had a great stay and this was our purpose for being in Blessing Texas, to enjoy the great food at the hotel and feel of this wonderful historic building. Ms Deirdre couldn’t do enough to make us comfortable. We had to get a couple tires in-route and called her about being later getting in and she provided her number to call when we were 1hour out. Met us at the desk, didn’t just leave the key for us, and explained what and where everything was in the area!! What a sweetheart and professional. Great people. We’re definitely...
Read moreBlessing Hotel was founded in 1906 and continues to to operate as a historical hotel and landmark. I've stayed twice over the last 10ish years, most recently last weekend. The room we stayed in had been upgraded with amenities such as microwave, mini-fridge, window AC, and flat screen TV. The feel is still very historic with its hard wood floors, shared bathrooms, and vanity with a basin in room. They also have wifi now, which is a plus because cell phone signal is fairly weak in this small town. If you plan to stay at this hotel, also plan to eat at their Cafe. We declined this time around, but I've heard that the food is just as fabulous now as it...
