Very nice campground. Campground hosts are helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Sites available for trailers and tents. Although some sites for tents can be rather rocky. Clean, simple, adequate restrooms. For a fee, showers are available. ||You cannot directly call the campground! Yes, there is a phone number on the web page. This phone does not connect you with anyone directly in the campground. When I told the hosts I had called the campground they looked at me with surprise. "We don't have a phone." they replied. I had called, what I thought was the campground a Sunday afternoon. A gentlemen assured me sights were available, "After all people have to go to work tomorrow." Upon arriving at the campground it was full, and full for the next several days we were in the area. Do not call, instead come early in the morning to secure a site and this pleasant campground located 30 minutes or so from Bryce Canyon...
Read moreThis Campground is located in Dixie National Forest just about 10 miles away from the entrance of Bryce Canyon. Because it is about 10 miles away it's not as popular. However it is quiet, the sites are large, the facilities are very clean, and they have clean showers. The showers cost $2.50. They take quarters and there is a change machine right behind the shower facility that takes ones and fives. This Campground is a drop-in location so we had a few concerns that we would not be able to find a spot but when we arrived at 9 a.m. there were numerous spots to pick from ( maybe 20 or 40 spots were available to us). Even as the day wore on there were still spaces available. I don't know if this is the usual but that was our experience when we visited in July. One last thing, the camp hosts are super sweet and...
Read moreAmazing National Forest campground!! The hosts were awesome and so accommoding. We were shocked to see bathrooms with flush toilets and running water... even a mirror in each! There were 3 single bathrooms and 3 pay ($2.50 for 8 minutes) showers on the other side, also private. Everything was super clean and the campsites themselves were awesome. $18 a night for single site or $36 a night for doubles. There is also a pit toilet further down. It is right across Red Canyon and near the visitors center. You can call ahead to see if the is still availability.
Highly recommend renting atv's from Bryce Canyon Atv tours that go in and around the canyon as well. You can also rent horses or hike around the canyon. Gorgeous place and about 14 miles to Bryce Canyon...
