Cottonwood Lodging Company — Hotel in Park City

Book with anyone but Cottonwood Properties. Any place else would be better. I called Cottonwood last November to book the base camp at Solitude for my very special milestone birthday with my family of 16, husband, 4 daughters, 4 sons in law, 6 grandchildren. Marissa said it was too early to book. I told her I wanted to give a deposit for a guaranteed hold. Marissa would not take it, but said she'd put a hold on the property. This past December we had alot of commitments, 2 out of state weddings and a ski trip to Telluride with my 4 daughters to celebrate long life for my youngest daughter's 40th birthday, who has cystic fibrosis, with gratitude that she beat the odds. My husband has cancer and stayed home. I talked about requested dates over time with Marissa, Zoe, Nicole and I said I'd take 2 weeks if we couldn't do Dec 24-Jan 1 of '25. Apparently they said they tried to call me to confirm and I don't have a record of them calling, no voicemail and no text. When I did call back and asked Zoe, Nicole and Marissa to have Carol the CEO of Cottonwood return my call. I got Carol's phone and she said she was never told about the calls. The whole thing is sketchy. I suspect this shadiness of cancelling my reservation was because one of their insiders requested the home and they dropped my hold, even though I was first. Then Carole said Marissa had no business making the hold. So the error was from within and I was punished and I have to disappoint the family and not have the house. Carole said she'd get back to me and give this "positive energy" but I've been virtually ignored. This report will got to every outlet having to do with skiing in the West and the Better Business Bureau, and Conde Nast Traveller.
