My elderly parents and I were checking in to your hotel on 10/14/24 and your credit card system to accept payment was down. However, we were not told this. We were told there was an issue with our credit card and 'sometimes it doesn't accept all credit cards'. We were told that we would need to pay cash for our two night stay. The employee's that were working at the hotel checking guests in were rude to my parents making them feel like it was their credit card that was the issue. After trying two credit cards, one with $9k available credit limit, my parents were instructed to just use an ATM to pay if they didn't have the cash available. This entire situation was extremely embarrassing as the line continued to grow behind us. Later in the evening as we spent further money at your casino, we saw signs up at the gift shop and snack shop stating that it was YOUR system that was not accepting credit cards. My father also called one of his credit cards and verified that they did not decline the the hotel check-in. At check-out, my father gave a hand-written complaint to the front desk when returning his hotel keys and asked for a copy back as well giving a quick overview of what had happened. The front desk worker offered no apology or recognition there was an issue with the their computer ystem. We paid $257.32 to stay at your hotel/casino for two nights and it wasn't worth it. A little kindness goes a long way. And, to the front desk that didn't seem to care if we were going to put a review up online...they...
Read moreI reserved my room 4 months in advance. I get to the hotel after a long drive and check in, only to find none of the keys work. So I go back down thinking they gave me the wrong room and he sent me back up to the same room, which wasn't even the type of room I reserved. When I came in there was water all over the floor, it smelled musty, and it appeared the room hadn't been cleaned up! I went back down and asked to switch to a different room as I had to get in the shower and get ready to go to an event, and I was told all rooms were reserved so they couldn't switch me (even though other people hadn't checked in yet). So I had to wait for maintenance and then wait for housekeeping and then find out the shower isn't working correctly so they tell me to go take a shower at the pool! They also said it could be at least a day or so until they could fix it because they may not have the parts, and I said I wasn't comfortable with people coming in and out of my room. So they tell me to just bring all my stuff down to the office each day!! Seriously?? The maint/ housekeeping staff were very friendly and tried to help, so they are the reason I bumped up my stars. They alone...
Read moreThe only thing I had an issue with was the wifi. It took about 10 tries to even get the screen where it asked for the password, and when I did get there, it just needed a few more ticks on the clock to get hooked up. Otherwise, the room was nice, a bit small, however, yet nice. The beds were soft and inviting, and the TV was Easley hooked up to the Ps4, so that was great. My kids bring their gaming systems everywhere, and sometimes the TVs are not compatible, so they go without. The view out the window was to the back of the casino, so there were just woods and hills, but it added a touch of the Northwoods flavor. As for the room attendants, like clockwork, they were knocking on the door, reminding us to get out because they had to get the rooms clean.
Overall, 4 out of 5 stars. Only because the internet was hit or miss. The front desk staff were a...
