Do not stay here. Don't even book a room. They will NOT refund you no matter what. I booked a room a few nights ago so I could visit family in town. Checked in right at 6pm. The lady at the desk had to call someone else to check me in (language barrier, it's not an issue at all for me). But when she handed me the key, she never even checked my ID. Went to the room and immediately smelled cigarettes, terribly. The room looked very unkempt and felt dirty. We immediately decided we were not staying.|The pillows were dirty (in the photo, that's not a shadow on the pillow), the microwave looked like it had been dropped out of a window, the sink area looked like it needed some repairing. The shower and toilet looked clean, but that is the ONLY positive thing. I barely stepped foot in there. There were bugs on the bed that did not move between the time I first checked in and the time I came back to take photos of the room, 2 hours later (I got a photo of the fly, but I did not get whatever the other bug was - it wasn't a fly).||I tried to check out immediately, but the language barrier was an issue, so I went to visit family and came back later. At 8:06pm, I came back to check out (just 2 hours later). I know the time because the girl in the office (different person) made me check the time because she was bewildered as to why someone would check out so soon. She was very rude about why I wanted to check out. I simply told her the room felt and looked dirty and I did not want to stay there. She snapped back with "What's wrong with it?" and "Fine. I'll check you out." No apologies, no have a nice day. Nothing.||I reached out to the travel agency I booked through, to see if they would be able to get a refund. After several attempts to contact the motel (the motel would not answer their phone), the travel agency was not able to obtain permission for a refund.||This motel is dirty, the staff are rude, and I would NOT recommend anyone to stay here. Travel the 30 miles North to Gilman, or 30 miles South to Champaign. If you MUST stay in Paxton, pay the extra money to stay at the Cobble...

Read moreYOU ARE COMPLAINTING ABOUT MY POSTING. EVERYTHING I HAVE SAID IS TRUE AND YOU KNOW IT. I WILL POST EVERYDAY BECAUSE YOU TAKE ADVANTAGE OF TRAVELERS. RENT ALL YOUR ROOMS TO THE LOW INCOME PEOPLE THAT DONT HAVE A CHOICE. YOU ARE STEALING MONEY FROM PEOPLE THAT DON'T WANT TO STAY AND WONT REFUND THEIR MONEY. tHE REASON YOU DO THAT IS BECAUSE YOU WONT MAKE ANY MONEY BASED ON ALL THE PROBLEMS WITH YOUR ROOMS SO YOU ARE STEALING. This was the worst room (in our 70's) I have ever had and do not stay here if you can at all help it. I read the reviews and believed them. Big mistake. All good reviews have to be from family or friends. They are slum lords. When we arrived we had to move our room because it smelled and there was no wi-fi. The owner snapped at us but gave us another room. Not much better. We had no choice but to stay, I had paid for 2 nights and they would not give us a refund. The beds are very thin and hard mattresses. Very uncomfortable. It was in the 80's and very hot in the room. The air conditioners did not work and we were miserable all night. The wi-fi kept turning off. The room was very dirty the bathroom was terrible. There was a family, that apparently live in the room near us, with at least three little kids running around naked, screaming and yelling. They had a grill outside and no car so I am sure they lived in the room and then to top it off, in the morning, I found dead bugs in my bed. When I confronted the owner and asked for a refund for our second night because there was no way we were staying in that room another night, she told me that I had put the bugs in the bed. This was absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed. My cousin and I were there for a family funeral and did not stay to visit the second day because there was no way we were going back to that room. I have picture of the bugs in my bed but don't know how to post them. You will absolutely regret...
